Computer repairs/upgrades

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know where the computer people went after leaving it city? Went up there yesterday (3rd floor) and it was empty. A couple of the shops did a good job on upgrades so I am just interested in where they have all gone. Thanks,

Out of business, probably. The DIY computer market has shrunk tremendously lately, as people move to laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

Good point. No meaningful income patching up creaking Pentium 4 machines for pensioners when they can get a corporate refurbished i5 with an SSD and running W11 for about 5000 baht on lazada.

For Apple stuff Houk and Bank now relocated to MBK

Just woke up??? I posted in the Hua Hin forum and mentioned IT city. So I wouldn’t be looking for someone in, say, chiang mai, would I? Maybe get back to me when you wake up….

So is there nowhere to buy computers and computer parts in Hua Hin? I am thinking of moving there and would like to have that nearby.

I would either go to purchase online or take the quick trip to Bangkok. Far better service in Bangkok malls and less scamming in prices towards farangs. Hua Hin menans getting very often cheated and over charged if you are a farang, no matter where or who you ask.

Rubbish. I have used these guys for many years in Hua Hin and have always found them to be fair, competant and efficient: https://maps.app.goo.gl/SQihWQPdMyhB4vrG8

Think thrice before leaving your computer with all your private details in hands of some freelance repair chap in the area.

Of course if you have no personnal e-banking data or similar on the computer and it's only for posting here and watching porn the news, that's a different story.

They still have their shop in Soi Lat Phrao 122 / Ramkhamhaeng 65. They opened MBK branch years ago.
