What are you having for Dinner tonight?

We don't keep to a budget, as actually don't have one. That just happens to be about what we spend a month on food. Mostly home cooking from scratch, so hard to really spend much vs processed packaged foods.

On a non 0 for retirement, don't use agent, so 65k required every month, and we live on about 30-40k, closer to 30, so no need to stick to any budget. Actually save more than we spend monthly.

Did you enquire at your IO about the Combo Method ie 400k in the bank and 35k monthly.

Yes, a few years ago, and no desire to leave any money in the bank. Besides, my Soc Sec comes anyway monthly to the bank, and is enough for the non 0 retirement financials.

Matter fact, popped into the bank today, after today's deposit, and made a withdraws, as next deposit would require me to file a FBAR, and have no desire to have any contact with IRS.

Back to food, Salmon again, and actually left over from Salmon last night, with Shrimp Bisque. Finally went shopping today, so picked up some pork, chicken & beef.

Salmon, tomato & onion Roti wrap ...

Do you make the roti yourself?

No matter what the fish n'chips afficionados claim, nothing better then freshly cooked indian food in a reliable and reasonably priced restaurant of course.

Strange post, for all sorts of reasons.

Strange answer for far less reasons maybe ?

First reason: What are you having for Dinner tonight?

Second: Random mention of Fish & Chips.

Third: You are totally discounting the people who make Indian curries at home of a better quality than at a "reliable and reasonably priced restaurant of course"

Your turn.

No need for turns my dear fellow, as I fully abide that the curries if well made at home, are a relish.

But as I am sometimes to lazy, I'd rather grab a visit to some of my favorite indian joints as when in Thailand, I do indulge my self. Absolutely no picking on the fine Chefs who do make the food at home and if you know any who would like to have me over, I'd willingly and gratefully accept the invite. 🤣

That's how it's done. Retort in good humour.

No intention to retort, but I get the point for sure. But that's rather how I humbly am. Thank you.

There's almost an expectation for a hostile reply after a while 😊

Rather not let hostility bother...it's toxic and does not deserve all the energy used to get upset...we burn more muscle power and energy in getting angry, then the opposite...of course easier said then done as we are all human - maybe some more then others 🤣

I don't do angry. That's just foolish 😊 A bit of horseplay is okay. But many are unable to control themselves and get nasty. Limited intelligence, I believe.

Limited self control, mixed with oversized ego, if I may suggest...

No, haven't attempted making my own yet. Do have on recipe, looks easy enough, just haven't gotten around to it. Plus the frozen ones why buy at tasty enough, and easy. Don't really have the freezer space.

And on Indian curry, sadly, best I've had, is a Chicken Tikka Masala, from 7-11 cheesy

Actually my 'go to' hot meal, if getting one from 7-11. Haven't had good luck with Indian joints, even highly recommended ones. And I love curries, well, Malay/Thai Massaman versions especially.

I looked at making paratha, but all that folding put me off 😊

I also tried the 7-11 CTM... Don't need to try it again. Does not even contain basmati rice.

A good Indian curry can be very tasty. I do like a Rendang and Massaman.

I had a nice curry last night with roti. Very cheap too.

Do you bake the croissant beforehand? I feel they are missing something...perhaps some kind of drizzle.

Nah, just the usual buttered up 'grilled' lobster tails. Too delicate a flavor to add much more than light dusting of seasoning, and of course, more butter.

An insult to serve on a hot dog bun (Lobster Roll), and deserving of a Butter Croissant. Didn't even bother warming the croissants in microwave as pretty fresh.

I would use croissant too, though baked and warm and perhaps EVOO rather than butter as a drizzle.
