Popular Post webfact Posted October 16, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2023 In a recent event that took place on October 16th at the National Police Headquarters, Pol. Lt. Gen. Tosak Sukwimol, who serves as the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, introduced a fresh collection of police vests. These new vests are designed in green and yellow with reflective features, and they are intended to promote a more approachable image for the police force while enhancing their efforts to ensure public safety. Picture: Daily News The initiative, led by the National Police Office, was introduced to provide police officers working in various departments, including metropolitan police, regional police, investigation units, and tourist areas, with high-visibility vests, reported Daily News. These vestss incorporate retroreflective materials, making it easier for the public to identify law enforcement officers from distances of 200 to 500 meters. Additionally, the color scheme was chosen as it twas thought to be more approachable. Picture: Daily News Commissioner-General Tosak clarified that a dedicated task force was assembled to create these vests. He emphasized that these vests would undergo a three-month field testing phase. After that, feedback from both the local community and tourists will be sought to make further improvements to their design. Picture: Daily News This policy is in line with the government's pressing objective to improve safety for both local residents and tourists, which is a crucial aspect of its strategy to promote tourism. mikebell Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 This makes them easier to spot but if you live in Pattaya, cops are invisible and do nothing to alleviate the daily road kill. Rush hour is absolute mayhem at all junctions where there ought to be police preventing red-light runners. 2

worldexpress Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Don't seem to be any different than the current ones. At least visibility-wise. They are too occupied putting out scandals-du-jour and addressing b.s. issues like these to deal with the real problems.
