That's the only reason I clicked on this topic - but I wonder if that's a stock photo from before.

Yes, the Prison diet and lifestyle seems to have suited him!

I wonder whether he still controls his businesses, or have they "passed" to various other well connected parties; not that that had anything to do with the parole of course!

I do hope that he has been left with sufficient cash to see him through...

It doesn't mention when he entered the prison term, so maybe he didn't miss a meal between entering and leaving

Ain't it grand......being associated with the privileged elite has it's moments.

That photo was from before he went to prison. Look at the photo in the BP for the 'after' photo. He looks pretty rough. Still fat though.

Altogether, 484 convicts had their sentences commuted in this batch and 113 were released early.

I think the photo is a stock one

There was another taken upon his release in a Paper out of BKK and he looked quite bedraggled

At first I thought the headline of this article said "Construction tycoon jailed for poaching leaves", and I thought, "Stealing leaves from a tree is not such a serious crime. There must be more to the story."

Lol, don't count on that, remember the mushroom pickers case - 30 years for that.
