"Brutally stabbed" as opposed to gently or humanely stabbed? And can we really rule out depression driven suicide ? Just a thought

I was thinking the same, you never see "Gently stabbed 6 times"

Possibly a live by the sword kinda death.

i often hear of suicide victims stabbing their own throat.....4 times.

Well, if using the crazy drugs, nothing is impossible. If it was a drug deal gone wrong, or some girl or guy visiting, its weird the 6K cash was not at least taken.

Perhaps he was on the run from someone already. Sounds more like a pay back.

Very few "non criminals" pay for second passports, and with drugs also in room,

Many "digital nomads" do get a second passport if they're able to. They also often have 2 phones. 1 for banking and 2FA, which is kept safely at home/hotel, and one with a local sim for carrying around.
