Thailand goes all in on The Homosexual Movement
In general homophobia seems to refer to negative feelings towards gays. You seem to be one where the phobia really means an irrational fear. Look out! Is that one under your bed? -

ABDN, CEO holds no shares?
Windsor has only been CEO since September; before that he was CFO, but only since start of the year. He's a bean counter and not from a financial services background. Aberdeen (or Abrdn as they stupidly re-branded) have not performed well in recent years and there was talk of splitting off the investment arm. How have markets reacted to his appointment? -

New Years Eve
A lot depends on where you are staying, you cannot rely on getting transport later on. One year we made the mistake of staying in a hotel on north road and going to Sailor Bar, they used to put on a variety show but just music now, We couldn't get a taxi back, all full up from the pier, ended up on a motorbike. Last year a friend of mine said the beach between Soi 13 and Walking Street was relatively quiet and the north end around the Holiday Inn is usually quite free. The larger hotels in that area tend to include dinner and show on NY so customers stay inside. With children I would strongly recommend you stay away from the Walking Street entrance and the beach around the Pattaya Klang junction. If you go to New Plaza leave early, the crowd will start moving about 11pm.- 1

Best way to fly Bangkok to Philippines?
Yes, they were handling my apartment booking for the UK and they were the link between me and the apartment staff, so I had to go through them everytime I had a question for the staff and when I asked them then clicked the reply I was told most times that the email address did not exist, although the odd time it did, so I would not recommend booking.com
