Chonburi — In response to recent alarming incidents involving firearms, government agencies in Banglamung district, Chonburi province, convened a meeting on November 2nd, 2023, to address growing concerns over public safety.

Led by Mr. Phisit Sirisawadinukul, the district chief of Banglamung, the meeting centered on implementing stricter measures to regulate and control the use of firearms.

The decision comes in the wake of a tragic incident on October 3rd, 2023, where a 14-year-old kid used a modified blank gun in a shooting incident at the Siam Paragon shopping center in Pathum Wan district, Bangkok. This event resulted in injuries and loss of lives, prompting a call for enhanced firearm regulations.
