Crime British Man Faces 21-Year Sentence for Human Trafficking
Even he managed to flee Thailand, to say Cambodia, with no passport the UK Embassy in Phnom Penh would not issue him a new passport for the following reasons:UK Passport Policy:A UK passport is the property of His Majesty’s Government, and the Passport Office (under the Home Office) can refuse or cancel passports under the British Nationality Act 1981 and Royal Prerogative. Grounds for refusal include: Being subject to a court order or criminal proceedings that restrict travel. Posing a risk to public safety or national security. Having an outstanding arrest warrant or conviction abroad. Bilton’s 21-year conviction for human trafficking in Thailand (a serious crime under the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015) would trigger refusal. The UK Embassy would verify his status via international databases (e.g., Interpol) or Thai authorities, identifying him as a convicted fugitive. So bottom line, if he stays in Thailand he is screwed, if he manages to leave Thailand with no passport he is also screwed..?? -

Indian restaurants in Pattaya
Yeah, their prices are crazy. I think they cater mostly to groups that come in and share food. They get 3 or 4 dishes and everyone shares so it makes it cheaper per person somehow, but I'm not sure exactly. I know those blokes walking around from India cannot afford to eat there everyday. -

Where can patients smoke their meds?
What are the legal rights and restrictions on where patients can smoke their meds? In a condo where one might smoke on the balcony or indoors in the bedroom, what Thai laws permit or restrict one over the other? Has anyone heard a statement from the police about restrictions on individual patients? -
