Featured Replies

hi guys

After washing my car i noticed some minor scratches on the bonnet that probably happened when some dirt got on my sponge. Just wondering what would be the best way to remove them...... the pickup is a silver Vigo if thats any help

Cheers

Recommend replace with a dent. Sooner or later u will end up with one in BKK :o

Seriously, i had some cutting agent / paste which worked ok, but maybe ask some of the pro's here.

I too have got some very minor scratches on my fender - caused by my girlfriend scraping something. Not serious enough to have anything redone/replaced - in factit's hardly visible. But is there something I can apply - also invisible - to stabilize the damage until I want to get around to a proper remedy?

You want to use a combination of rubbing compound and/or polishing compound depending on the depth of the scratch. In addition, for dings, they have to be bent outwards using special tools inserted down the window wells, etc..

I get my cars detailed about every 6 mos, depending on the scratches, the one in Bangkok gets hammered by those damm motorbike handles, that is the pisser. No avoiding it. Parking lots result in dings. Cheap enough to have it done at a good body shop.

Get a Clay Bar if they are available. It works like a dream, picks up jaded paint work, gets rid of swirl marks and cleans residue and traffic film. Need some elbow grease, but it does the job.

There are Meguiars detail shops everywhere, maybe you can take the vehicle to them and let them buff the scratches out for you.....
