Popular Post webfact Posted November 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2023 On the night of November 9, 2023, Bangkok's Nana district saw a concerted effort by the Immigration Bureau Division 1 and the Lumpini Police Station to enhance security measures. The operation involved X-ray screenings and detailed inspections targeting areas frequented by tourists at night, with a focus on Sukhumvit Soi 3 and Soi 3/1, reported Siam Rath. Picture: Siam Rath This initiative, led by senior immigration and police officials, was designed to boost public confidence, ensure the safety of visitors, and preempt any disturbances, especially in light of potential international conflicts impacting Thailand. Picture: Siam Rath Police Colonel Kajaphon Pathamang from Division 1 stated that the operation aligns with the policies set by the national police leadership, aiming to fortify the Immigration Bureau's role in safeguarding the country. The strategy includes strict supervision and collaboration with other security entities to monitor vulnerable locations for any security threats and transnational criminal activities. Picture: Siam Rath Picture: Siam Rath Following strategic discussions between the Immigration Bureau and the Metropolitan Police Bureau, the authorities have committed to maintaining these rigorous patrols. The public is encouraged to assist by reporting any unusual or suspicious behavior to the emergency hotline 191 or the Immigration Bureau's hotline 1178, both available around the clock. I hope they inspected some of those garish Chinese-made 'massage devices' on sale at stalls all round that area to ensure that they don't electrocute the user. 1
Popular Post wensiensheng Posted November 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 10, 2023 Why not just do their jobs all year round without the self congratulatory, random press releases. that’s all that is required and that WOULD build confidence far more than this bs 10 2 2 2

Popular Post Bangkok Barry Posted November 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 10, 2023 Funny how readers read Nana and immediately think of Soi 4 and post responses relating to that, when the report and photos clearly show they targeted Soi 3 and 3/1, the area favoured by Arabs. Maybe a sensible idea, considering the little skirmish going on the the Middle East. 8 4

So the cops now carry X-ray machines, and of course fully trained to use them, handy if you want a chest X-ray while out and about though, are they free?
LatPhrao Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Encouraging news given the outbreaks of violence and volatile protests worldwide on the occasion of Israel's response to Hamas attacks. Thailand getting in the vanguard of warding off possible violence and tragedies. Bangkok has a sizable middle eastern population in and around that ghetto, Soi 3 and surrounds. 2
Neeranam Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 If in plain clothes, why have Immigration Jackets? Not the type of foreigner we want in Thailand.
NicoBKK Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 They did miss the African ladies working along Soi 4 and living toward the end of the soi.

And in a subsequent post as you likely have done in the past you will no doubt complain about "racism" and discrimination directed at white westerners by Thai people, as you sit here literally promoting ethnic discrimination against darker skinned people.

Given the large presence of Thais in Israel and Thailand's past record in the Far South, crazies like Hamas and their supporters may see Thailand as being 'on the other side'. 1
