you're repeating yourself now.

That's because you lie about what I say, and refuse to answer my questions.

Again, I don't often see young couples jumping into tuk-tuk where I am close enough to overheat the conversation, where do you see all these people?

Again, so your plan would be to run over and tell them it's a scam?

Again, you (apparently) see this often, why haven't you helped any of them?

Again, I think your whole premise is ridiculous, in other words, I think you are making the whole thing up.

I started to hear this phrase in bars when i first became proficient in Thai.

In my opinion this roughly translates to ‘foreigner who knows too much can’t be taken advantage of like a newbie can'

my question is, how does one who lives here long term avoid knowing too much?

it would seem to me the longer one lives here then the more wise one gets to their scams.

easy, don't hang out with lower class, lower educated thais and thai sex workers. i've been here many years, never been near the bar scene (tbh never needed to) and i've never heard any thai friend or acquaintance suggest i know too much.

I've helped countless over the years, quietly.

where should one who is a drinker go for a bit of r&r then?

the natural place for drinkers to congregate such as myself is the bar.

No, not directly, but your way of posting creates the assumption and feeling that you do.

How? What did I saw that implies I condone it?

well said mate.

it's hard to be a wolf in a world full of sheep but you certainly wear the coat well ;)

If talking tough behind a keyboard makes one a wolf in a world of sheep, there would be no sheep left.

It matters because I want to start having breakfast there. Unless of course you lying, and it's not really happening like you claim.

You missed the put down Bob, he has Thai friends.

Personally, I've never met a Thai I considered worthy of my friendship, dullest and most ignorant men in the world.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Thai girls, it's just the men that are a dead loss, not to mention dangerous.

Do they sit around whining?

The taxi drivers and tuk tuk drivers do yeah.

that's all they do pretty much all day when foreigners refuse their inflated scams.

I would say it's their culture and really poor education, when you are told your entire life you are the best at everything in the world and should never be questioned, then you encounter foreigners that are almost all  more knowledgeable and generally better educated, something has to give.

they were pestering patrons at a restaurant that I frequent on Friday.

waving their city tour placards in customers faces.

'taxi, taxi'

it was so irritating.

Do you have a clue? A tuk tuk driver is nothing like a doctor or dentist. Tuk tuk drivers are the worst.
