I never told my wife how much money I had, but when I couldn't get the pension in LOS I told her that we'd have to economise. That was enough to set her off on the death spiral.

Erm… getting excited by porn is just you exciting yourself. Interacting with a real person is different ☺️
I think that’s perhaps where some people fall down. They cannot differentiate easily between figments of their own imagination and the innate possibilities of actual human interactions. They’ll simply impose their fantasies, blinded to the obvious realities. 

If you don’t like ‘hideous’ women, find one that isn’t. That’s the game.

But you wanted what you could not afford. Even now, you treat your female peers with disdain. If you just want to pick anyone that you can afford at the time as being your criteria, you may find that isn’t necessarily a good base for a longer term relationship. 
Better to find someone who actually cares about you and is happy to show it. That you praise bargirls above all else is somewhat telling. As you have alluded to before, perhaps your upbringing alienated you from woman at an early age. 
On the contrary, I always treat women as people/friends first. You know? Just as I would like to be treated. Not just a object for some else’s use. 
Don’t be surprised once you realise those people are just using you, in return.
