Neighbour Held For Beating Italian Man To Death In Front Of His House

A THAI NEIGHBOUR who was arrested for hitting an Italian man in the head with an iron rod till he collapsed and died in front of his house in Pathum Thani Saturday afternoon (Dec. 2) said he was angry because the deceased man discarded garbage in front of his house and had filed a case against his son leading to his imprisonment, Thai Rath newspaper and TV Channel 7 said.

 

Khlong Luang police station investigators questioned eyewitnesses in the murder of Mr. Kun Milazzo Gian Luca, 54, in front of his house at Passorn Village 2, Khlong Sam subdistrict, Khlong Luang district, who told them he had problem with his neighbour across the road because he disposed garbage in front of their house with this spreading a bad smell.

 

This fight between the two neighbours had reached the point of going to court, they added.

 

At 4 p.m. today Pol. Col. Kiattisak Mitprasat, superintendent of Khlong Luang police station, and his team arrested Mr. Phongphas Thitmongkoltham, 55, the deceased Italian man’s neigbour with whom he had been at loggerheads.

Italian Man Murdered in Pathum Thani Village, Thai Neighbor Arrested, Cause was a Trash Dispute

Pathum Thani—On December 2nd, 2023, Khlong Luang police officers received a report of an Italian man being assaulted with an iron pipe, leading to his death at a village in Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani.

Rescue teams and relevant agencies were dispatched to the incident scene. They found a body that was publicly identified as Mr. Milazzo Gianluca, a 50-year-old Italian man, and an 80-centimeter iron pipe with bloodstains present hidden nearby.

 

According to a report by the police, Mr. Kanokphon Wechasamphan, a 38-year-old juristic person, reportedly revealed that he received a report that a person was found dead in front of a house and he called the police to investigate.

“Milazzo lived alone and recently had financial issues and the bank had recently foreclosed his residence and had his water and electricity cut off. Previously, Milazzo had numerous heated arguments with his neighbor living on the opposite side of his house which resulted in court action,” said Kanokphon.

Large presence of forensic police could be explained by proximity of incident to sizable forensic police unit in Pathum Thani. Incident may have been used for training purposes or elicited such a large response because murder cases involving foreign victims typically become high profile.

And you don't think there is any possibility that through these disputes, which led to the imprisonment of the Thai neighbour's son?, the smell of garbage could just be that.......A garbage excuse served up as a justification for using extreme violence because he was annoyed that his son had been imprisoned.

 

I have seen the behaviour of Thais in the local villages, I see it every day, Healthy living and hygiene both personal and in their homes are not top of their agenda

Nothing justifies what happened to the Italian man, but could he have been a bitter nutter? He was definitely a squatter.

So where did he poop and piss with no water in the home? Perhaps there is some truth to the smelly garbage

So the only sensible thing to do is beat your neighbor to death with an iron bar. And I imagine the Italian just had it in for the man's son and got him thrown in jail just for the hell of it, not because the son was antagonizing him.

Hard to know, and the reality is violence often does ultimately   solve the problem (although not without consequences) hence "wars" not that I agree  with that but sometimes there is  no solution.  You can end up with a compromise when often one party needs to realise what they are doing is  unacceptable but it is hard to accept when told youre wrong.

Stronger law enforcement would be better for many trivial matters especially in Thailand where someone could go round to each neighbour and lay down what the law says.

In the UK I used to get many times people obstructing my driveway, after a  while the tempation is to literally go out and smash up their car and them and   bugger the consequences, when asking them you are often told theyll only be a  minute ( except it goes on all day) to "whats your  problem " to "Ill park where I want" to "what you going to do about it" etc Ive always restrained myself, but its really hard to not lash out due to pure selfishness on their part. Ive always been afraid to lash out in life as I thought if I let myself go the end result would be someones  death.

I am sure the guy you are replying to would not kill him... but the Italian guy was just dumb and ignorant because he failed to realise where he was living and respect the Thai culture... and Thai style justice.   I believe the Italian got the usual Thai style punishment due to his own blatant stupidity.  Sad, but the Italian it appeared to sign his own death certificate...
