We do see a lot of that, so many standing around, many taking photos, often laughing, but not helping those injured. Before someone replies saying it happens in other countries, this is about Thailand.

Worst hospital experience of my life.

 

And no need to name names, I know that area very well and there is only one hospital in that vicinity.

Although I agree.. but ironically, it could be that some Thai doctors are hypocrites, hence "hypocritical" oath. Please don't condemn me for the attempt at humour. 

 A few weeks ago I ended up in ER in a private hospital where I have a membership number. My tgf was with me to answer questions, and had one of my CCs in her hand which they at first thought was hers. They asked if she was family and she answered yes. They got an IV in each arm and within an hour I was stable but weak. A little after that point someone came to ask me to sign two CC deposits, one for 15,000 THB and one for 250,000 THB. No problem. Both deposits were reversed in a matter of days. Insurance stepped in.

The first report I read about this man was that he had no family with him nor even anyone who knew him personally; it went downhill from there.

Canadian embassy just charges £30 for affidavit. Passport is pricey but mine is done in 5 days.

Also, the hit and run driver has been located and charged. That he was Intoxicated should be a surprise for no one.

I didn't know that, that gives me a bit of security when I am on my motorbike. I have always hated the thought of being in an accident and being refused any treatment. Does that apply to both private and government hospitals?

May I point out that I always had first class insurance on my motorbike but it was stopped after the bike was 6 years old, it is hard to get insurance on an eight year old bike, but I have applied again and am just waiting for approval.

I believe that even in LOS hospitals are not legally allowed to deny injured or critically sick people admission and service including both Thai & Farang but Thailand has this very biased attitude, especially towards Farang which I personally experienced!
