Can't paste images

Featured Replies

I can't paste images I copy from the internet.I checked to see if it' a problem with my computer but pasting images works fine in my image editor or other programs like Word.

Check the file size. They may be too big, resize and upload. Also check they are acceptable file type

Actually, I'm just copying images from my screen using the Print Screen key. And I cropped the images before copying the. So it constituted only a small portion of the screen. The image uses 8505 Bytes. It's 810 x 352 pixels.

Hmm ... don't think it's the forum, as this is one that seems to accept any size file I've pasted where other sites won't.

This is a screenshot of photo below, which I pasted to paint & saved, so I know the size.   Pasted directly to this post.

From what I understand you posted these images as files that you had saved. I simply copied a portion of the screen using the print screen key and posted directly to the forum. I never had a problem with this method before.

Top one (1.7 or 1.5 gb) is a copy and paste, direct to post.  I only saved it to paint so I know the size.   I didn't do screenshot, and then copy & past that.  Too lazy as 2 actions, when 1 will do.  When doing a screenshot, I'd usually crop it anyway.

Actually didn't realize I could do that, take a screenshot, and paste immediately.  go figure, and pic below is just that, screenshot & pasted direct & immediately.  Still rather large, since 65" monitor.

When the "new" forum came back online, I had that problem too - I couldn't do a screen shot, crop it and then directly paste it to my post like I used to be able to.  I had to save the crop as a file on my computer and then upload it.  However, I just tried the screenshot and paste method, and it now works.  I haven't done anything at my end, so I assume the forum software now allows it again.

This was done by screenshot, selecting the part I wanted in MS Paint, copying the selection and then pasting directly into the post.
