Dual pricing .

My story

I lived in Thailand for many years (not now) had a business building trailers. Which included buying a lot of paint. So, my Thai wife normally bought the paint. So, when she got sick, and I had to buy it I got charged triple that. So if you agree with double pricing let me know, it is not just about double pricing tourists

The staff at the hotel could barely speak any English , reporting TM30s is free and takes minutes , I don't use more air con than a Thai would and I would have to pay for any damage caused . Thais see

I'm okay with dual pricing, just letting you know.

My story

I managed a business here for over twenty years and used hundreds or thousands of gallons of paint and that has not been my experience. Did your wife call and get it straightened out?

I doubt you have the capacity to understand anything about my life...

Have a happy new year in whatever small minded, limited guarded capacity that you live...

Was it fair that you gave money to one beggar and not another? Do you think it helped or hurt her?

Mr Juggalo is speaking Buffalo Excrement, he gave no beggars any money... just dribbling crap is all.

I am not speaking excrement .

Its a woman with two toddlers under two years old and the boyfriend is in jail and the police took everything from her and she isn't legal in Thailand and cannot work  . I gave her money to get back to Myanmar , she is in Myanmar now , just spoke to her on Facebook

You get to tear a piece off before she left?

I didn't, no, I didn't want to take advantage of the situation .

She intends  to come back to Thailand with a new passport this week , as there is not any opportunities in Myanmar

Maybe when she gets back then...

(just kidding)

Nice to be able to do something that might actually change someone's life for the better.

She had one baby with her at the time , the other younger  baby was back in her room .

The youngest is about 6 months old and her sister was taking care of the baby back in the room

(I did carry the eldest baby back to her room with her)

It was Christmas time , the time of giving .

Its quite common for people to donate to Charites or good causes over Christmas .

You have websites like "Gofundme" where people are making donations to those in need .

There are collection boxes in shopping malls to help the poor hill tribe kids .

My local facebook group raised 40 000 Baht for an unfortunate girl who needed a life changing operation , raised with 24 hours .

What do you find to be so unbelievable about making a donation to the less fortunate ?

 I just donated directly .

I didn't make a complaint to the staff and also we could speak Thai .

Are you happy and content to be charged more money because of where you come from .

You comment about others "whining" and here you are in a thread "whining" about it

Room rates will be reduced soon due to it being off season

The rate is for two adults and theres no discount for one adult , so I am going to ask the lady on the street with the baby, whether she wants to come and stay in a 5 * hotel for the night

Most Thais are extremely poor.

I can't see why we foreigners shouldn't pay a little more.

Most Thais are not extremely poor , most seem to be doing OK (I don't want to hear about Issan farm labourers )

There are also lots or rich Thais , rich Thais who stay in 5 * hotels regularly and who are far richer than I am .

Is it fair that a rich Thai guy, far richer than I am and with a much bigger income than me , should I have to pay more than him for the same room ?

If the hotels room rate is decided by your income, then the richer Thai guys should pay a higher room rate than I do

Yeah, I think it's fair.

Is it fair that I can go to Disneyland cheaper than a Thai?

Did your mother tell you that life was going to be fair?

At 1 min. 45 sec. the Pom talks about the Aussies, he says us Aussies are a good crowd, he gets called names but if you call the Aussies names back we enjoy it.

Very funny 🤣

Why the hell would you want to go to Disneyland, that is for kids .

You are living with real life rats in Thailand , not people pretending to be mouse's in the USA.

My Mother told me *You are too old to go to Disneyland* , I was only 15 at the time

I grew up about 15 miles from Disneyland.

My wife, kid and mother-in-law all love Disneyland. I left them there for ten days once when I went tuna fishing.

Your mother was probably too cheap to take you.

Incidentally, a fishing license is much more expensive for non-residents in California, as are any number of other things. Dual pricing don't ya know...

Aren't Aussies just Poms without all the culture?
