An admission that the new car park is too tight for the size of vehicles we have on the road now.

They are looking at putting in a turning circle

Just  give those 2 guys a whistle  that'll sort the issue out

How else can they continue to make money except by doing a big construction job wrong the first few times and having to continually "improve" it?

Maybe doing their bit for global warming, persuading people that diesel-powered Chelsea tractors aren't good for the environment. Everyone should drive a nice Mercedes like the mayor, lol!

The metric system is recognized as the standard (like in physics etc.). This is not the first mistake because of this misunderstanding. Once a whole rocket was lost.  Time to change to the same standard worldwide, although it would take many decades (just think of the steepness of all the screw threads)

That area has been changed to an  Exit. So all the traffic has to go into the same old entrance jam and enter the garage in the back. Actually the garage as not ever been full. Of course another screw. What else is New.

US auto industry changed to metric in 1975. The first "metric car" was Cadillac Seville.

When they showed up for service at the dealer nobody wanted to work on them... American mechanics thought they needed metric tools! 90% SAE tools work just fine.

They still hate "metric cars".

US military is metric since 1975 (I think) but aviation still is mixed mess which hurts US companies worldwide sales.

I can handle both. Plus British oddballs like  "British Standard Whitworth (BSW)"

You have a reference for that? There are 2.54 cm/inch. Then the whole place would be less than 1/2 called for ??

Of course it has never been full.....It fulfilled its main goal which was the old parks destruction......Whether the parking works or not is irreverent..

I know it is an old thread but I am only in Pattaya 4 months per year and had not been to the market for a long time. It seemed a shadow of its former self. The parking problem seems to be solved as the place has become a large carpark and there are no customers. A few people exercising in the park but not the hundreds of people that used to eat there. I can not feel sorry for the few stalls still standing in the dark, closed up, unwelcoming looking market because it is what they voted for. I could not tell how many cars are using the car park as the signs telling what level there are free parking(in the post above) are all broken.

If American architect writes 24 inches and 2.54cm/inch . And Thai builder uses centimeters then : 24cm/2.54cm/inch

= 9.44 inches. For the arithmetic challenged Mr thumbs down. Screenshot_20260606_040629_Chrome.jpg

And at same time destroy a very nice park with this concrete monstrosity. Via the concrete contractors/city hall kickbacks cabel. And the lawn area where folks had lunch was paved over. Try that in Albania

Park and concrete sh*tshow.IMG_20260606_122308.jpgIMG_20260606_092508.jpg

This was Pattayas last park....Except for up on the hill, which is a real pain to get to without transport...

Now Pattaya does not have a single park.....I guess after you have bought your shrimp and clams, you can go have lunch in the Parking garage...

Or have lunch on this lovely concrete. In the middle of ghost park. There are some grass and benches on sides. But the whole place is industrial park tier. Like something next to a factory
