Do you still keep up with news in your home country?

Featured Replies

A couple months ago I read the news from my home country... there were mass shootings, the House of Representatives were not producing any useful legislation while the government raced toward a potential shut down, a certain ex-president was still crying foul and people were demonstrating one thing or another....

I am pretty sure that today I am still up to date....

Yes i listen to it everyday, catchup talkradio UK, 3 shows i usually listen to. I don't watch it, i like background while I'm doing other stuff

  • It’s important to keep abreast of what’s happening back home. For example today’s major Australian news is about a man finding his hat.

  • I keep an eye/ear on the UK news so that I'm alerted if the British police have finally tracked me down :)

The UK is an extreme example of "Heat or Eat" for a large part of the population. A harbinger for the rest of the "western world".

Actually it's not. That's a great example of how misleading the mainstream news is.

National news is hard to avoid. As for the local news out of my hometown, I have no idea what is happening.
