Phuket – Five boat drivers tested positive for illegal drugs recently at a pier in Thalang after a random check.

 

The Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat has ordered to conduct drug testing for boat drivers at piers in Phuket following a fatal boat accident that took the life of a young Russian girl in which the captain later tested positive for amphetamines.

 

On Wednesday (January 3rd) a team of relevant authorities conducted random drug testing for boat drivers at the Ao Po Pier in Pa Klok.

Boat maffia, tuk tuk maffia, taxi maffia, better don't stay at Phuket.

Of course I forgot to mention, it is only good for the Russian, of the same kind.

 

Will never forget I had an apartment in Patong and wanted to sell it, the owner of the building did want to buy it back from me, but we did not come to an agreement, when I told him a Russian was interested, the deal was quickly made, and that was 15 years ago now.

Are these boat drivers really any different than taxi drivers? 
 

All are at the wrong end of the educational spectrum…

They MAY not lose their license      

As I said before this is a kneejerk reaction checks won't last, check their pockets, and the boats nothing to stop them once they are  on board.
