What do your neighbors do?

The one on the right side is a smack head.  So he is mostly docile.  He sits around in the side alley.  He then sits in the road over the drain and smokes.  Around about 5pm I water the garden and he comes out, walks in the road and stares directly at me for around twenty minutes.  He occasionally has screaming fits at his wife.  I never see the other side.

I live in a quiet gated community on the Pattaya darkside. All houses detached so no issues. On my right a German businessman with his Thai wife. To my left a family of Thai teachers, never have I seen such a well manered quiet family. Directly across the road a Brit like me with his Thai wife. He is only here half the year, she has a very loud voice that travels but she is ok. Never had a cause to complain about anyone.

In the condo, no idea. It's pretty quiet, everyone minds their own business.

 

In the village, we have one neighbor who keeps chickens. A lot of them. The roosters get into full song about 2 am.

Another neighbor has about 6 dogs. They set up a howling chorus for ten minutes at 3 am.

The last neighbor is quiet, and trades bananas and vegetables to my GF. His only quirk is firing a shotgun during thunderstorms to ward off evil spirits.

Wellllllll....  let me tell you a story. 

 

To the left is a drunk who is a right pain in the arse. He often used to accuse me of all sorts of <deleted> which I politely ignored until on one occasion he go real close to me and spat in my face.

My wife, a very attractive and petite lass of 42 started yelling at him, which is very unlike her, walked up to him and punched him in the side of his noggin. He collapsed, unconscious, and cracked his head on the pavement as he hit the deck.

Long story short, he ended up in hospital, the Police came around, the neighbours backed the wife. Pisshead came home from hospital and moved away some time after.

 

To the right, is an attractive woman, single, who flirts with me all the time. My wife told me if I go near her she will 'cut for duck' making a scissors sign with her fingers and pointing at my crotch. I often think about what may happen between us but the fear of losing my favourite appendage prohibits me acting out my fantasies.

 

Across the soi is an amiable couple, mid 50s. He's always asking me to get on the piss with him but he drinks that foul 'whiskey'. Of course, being a good neighbour I oblige although more than one usually ends with me getting farked up and feeling like <deleted> the next day. I usually overcome this trend buy drinking lots of water or beer instead.

 

Behind us is a couple, 40s, who grow amazing cannabis. They are active in the community and grow vegetable in their plot and use composting and organic processes as much as is possible here in this land that is so endered of chemical intervention. The local Police have visited in the past and admired their cannabis plants. I must say, they look fantastic and have a very strong smell when they are due for harvest.

 

The sister in law lives up the road, an extremely attractive single lass of mid 30s. I think she's lesbian although I haven't seen anything to confirm this other than not seeing her with a male companion. She is the cause of the occasional erection wen I'm in bed with my lovely wife.

Happily, I have no problems with these birds - the roosters are an alarm clock for me. I'd rather have noisy birds than noisy neighbours :)

Eleven houses all built 2016-18, none have changed hands all in original ownership. Ours was #9, completed April 2018.

 

Three are 'absentee' owners from Bangkok, who use their houses as holiday homes, investment maybe, they're a mystery to us.

 

We're one of just two on the left side, ours a corner section adjoining a vacant block which is our jungle, left it wild, trees and a pond, squirrels, water birds and rumour of a water monitor I've never seen.

 

Furthest house has three kids under 12 otherwise ours the only younger ones; a single school teacher, a couple who work at the tessaban, others retired. 

 

Quiet, no through traffic, sited 300m back from the road. Two cats, two dogs one of whom has the ability to bark. 

 

We'd lived in the area since 2011 at two locations, had a good vision of where, and how, we wanted to live, smallish house that will be easy to lock and leave when we want to travel though at present that's ok with daughters old enough.

 

All good neighbours, respectful, and friendly. Previous place (rented) was just as good, last house of seven in a short no-exit we tried to buy but not for sale. 2013 we'd bought and developed a section about 8km away but regretted the location and re-sold as bare land, too remote and on the wrong side of Sukhumvit Rd 

 

These things take time.

Isaan, we are community of about 15 houses. Nobody is employed here, they are all farmers. They basically wake up at 4am and are constantly riding somewhere, chasing water buffalos, feeding cows and farming till 7pm, when they go to sleep. Very friendly people and ready to talk or help at any time. Especially grandpa next door who constantly gives us corn, isaan sweets and telling us to go take fruits out of his trees.

 

Only one who stands out is this old guy with Alzheimer, who since 8am walks in circles around our houses, passing our house in 5 minutes intervals till 8pm. You can he see that he is totally out of it, he doesn't recognize where he is, he doesn't talk and you can see in his eyes that there's nobody inside. But if you change something slightly, like order pile of sand or put a box infront of the house he will stop and stares at it for couple of minutes completely confused. And then he goes back to walking circles. He is very quiet so he sometimes gives you a good scare, like you're fixing motorcycle on the road and you can feel like somebody is breathing next to your ear. You look back and he is bend over you watching you work. What is even more scary, sometimes he does his walks at 2am. And run into him quietly in the darkness with his empty eyes is horror movie material.

Yes, I hear her going to the toilet in my Land & Houses condo.

Live in a moobahn short cul de sac  of 3 houses each side, I live at the end.

To the right is a couple mid 50’s , wife works everyday at some Japanese electronics factory, husband stays at home growing lettuce and assorted veggies in large polystyrene/styrofoam boxes, a couple of 20ish sons. Okay.

Nobody to the left, a 2 m high wall.

In front a PITA couple moved in about 6 months ago, has a water filtration business, a pickup, a MUX and a Honda Accord , around 9 am every day his workers start to arrive with a couple of mc’s and another pickup .

Seems to think he owns the soi, every few days mixing chemicals in the front garden to put in the large canister type filters ( big like oxy acetylene bottles ). They will have pre work meetings and occasional after work parties, even have a clocking in machine and white board on the house wall. Trucks deliver pvc tubing and filter elements, casings and big bags of chemicals regularly.

Totally wrong environment for a business , considering arson !!

To the left I have a very quiet man living with his mum. I'm not sure what he does but his brother owns a 7-eleven. In front we have a loan shark who is nice (we have no problems and occasionally have a drink together, give each other food etc). Behind we have a family of locusts. They just like to take over any space possible, make a complete mess, smell, and noise, and we often have to call the police as they try to 'own' the end of the street. They have 2 pick up trucks, a Jazz, an mg-ZS, and old corolla and about 4 bikes. All in a small house at the end of a soi. Three different families with two or three generations of each living in a 3 bed house. They sell grilled chicken and pork balls. There's very few people I wish bad things to, but I'm waiting for these to get wiped out in an accident. Naturally, the men are generally drunk, so it's only a matter of time.

same here. although i am strongly against banana trees. i removed them from our property XD
