On January 16th, 2024, the Thai Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) captured two suspects in Bang Lamung, Chonburi, according to an arrest warrant from Chumphon Provincial Court, after they allegedly planned a murder of a durian orchard owner in Chumphon in December of 2023.

According to a report by the CIB, in December 2023, the police received a report of a durian orchard owner, publicly identified only as Mr. Thawat, 54, being shot dead in Chumphon.

The police continually investigated and tracked down a group of suspects, including the masterminds who were publicly identified only as Mr. Pramote, 62, and Ms. Niyom, 59.
