Why even go through the charade of holding an election then, if the sitting president has "total immunity" no matter what he does to secure the outcome he wants? It would be pointless.

Which is why, NO, the president shouldn't have "total immunity".

A very good point.

Perhaps it has been forgotten, or else trumpers are too embarrassed to mention it again, but part of trump's claim, as detailed by his "crack" legal team, included:

---claims that the dead Hugo Chavez of Venezuela re=programmed Italian satellites which then changed votes on Dominion voting machines in the US

---claims that ballots cast in Arizona contained bamboo, the implication being that China stuffed ballot boxes and was too stupid to get non-bamboo paper

Of course the Hugo Chavez claim was never introduced in court, because lawyers who introduce matters they know to be false can be prosecuted. Sidney Powell and others kept that nonsense to pressw conference

The "bamboo" issue was checked by Cyber Ninjas, a firm that somehow (because of so many republicans in AZ) was allowed to examine all of the AZ paper ballots. Cyber Ninjas was a brand new firm with zero experience in anything. Still, they concluded that everything in AZ was up to snuff and trump did, indeed, lose the State.

When all else failed---including Rudy's presser at Four Seasons (Home and Garden) in PA, in a strip mall next to a store selling porn and 'adult toys'---the fake elector scheme was hatched, with trump's participation, for which he is now indicted.

Don't worry Walker. You're always going to keep everyone informed and up-to-date with your pet topics.

Just coronate him now as King and Grifter for Life Trump....

And then when he eventually kicks it, Don Jr. can be named the new King of the U.S., followed by Barron thereafter.  King Trump I, II, III, etc. No need for "fake" elections.

But I'm not sure if I am laughing or crying

I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin' feeling
Disappear like it was common sense

It was a fine idea at the time
Now it's a brilliant mistake

I will defend Trump on this. NO president should be prosecuted for what they have done in office UNLESS it is a criminal act. Trump has 100% right to claim the election result was in doubt, he has the right to get his people to check it  - the prosecution against him has not given any evidence about how that check can be done without being accused of election interference. It is the presidents role to ensure an election is held and completed correctly. Querying an election and talking to people is NOT criminal.

The left is now trying to say it would give Trump the right to get the DOJ or FBI to shoot and kill the opposition. Which is complete lefty nonsense.

If Trump took a gun and shot someone (or ordered a hit) he would rightfully be impeached, arrested and put away for life.

It is amazing to me the total and deliberate ignorance of people that cannot see the difference between the rights of a president in office and criminal acts in office. I may not agree with what a president does, but I cannot ask for him be arrested for it, do something criminal then I would 100% agree with it - democrat OR republican !

WARNING : Should Trump NOT have immunity , then Obama is about to get arrested for murdering Americans  if the republicans get in as he ordered a strike that killed an American

The supreme court will vote 9-0 for Trump - if you wish to come back and argue that they are Trump cult followers than be my guess. Though in modern America they would claim it was a black racist witch hunt

You win the award for most wrongness in a single post. Really quite an accomplishment.

While you're on a roll, tell us who's going to win the November elections.
