  • I think you have that the wrong way round. Tesla have cut prices several times to fend off competition from BYD. They called it trying to achieve market saturation but BYD was the real reason.

Correct, it only involves smashing cars into solid barriers at 50kmh and then testing the structural integrity and occupant protection. FOr some reason they give them 5 stars (the top award). Obviousl

  • Oh dear. Thanks for posting this video. I’ll make sure not to rescue another vehicle with my Dolphin or take it off road.   I don’t know what else I shouldn’t do as I couldn’t be bothered to

it seems strange to me that you criticize electric vehicles,

but you admit that you don't have a clue about them yourself.

My BYD Seal comes with bi-directional charging and the equivalent of 6 Tesla PowerWalls of backup power which I use to power my home - you can’t do that with a Tesla

That statement is not correct.

Great, so where exactly can you buy one?

You only quoted part of my post making your statement incorrect as you missed that my post was about choosing between a Tesla and a BYD in Thailand.

Yes CTs have V2L but you can’t buy them in Thailand and currently you would struggle to buy one in America

I purchased a BYD Seal AWD Performance and it was cheaper than the cheapest Tesla you can buy in Thailand.”

Or more importantly, even if you could, why would you?

Good point. Definitely not for me, nor is any Tesla.

Don't stand underneath them. Some time ago I predicted TSLA would tank once the market realized that the company is an electric car company and not an AI company. That's happened soon after. I think reports of Must taking drugs and the X debacle have also weighed on TSLA.

Take a pliers and see if it can bend the structural beams on the piece of Chinese garbage.

Why the hate? Did China invade your country? Or caused you to pay more for the things you buy?

You asked a question, and got the answer.

Q. What not to do with the pieces of Chinese garbage?

A: See if a simple pliers can bend the structural beam.

Do you think it will stay that way, after the warranty expires?

Drives a P.O.S. Mazda, that keeps breaking down and calls all BYDs "pieces of Chinese garbage"

It's never broken down. Neither has our 30 year old Camry.

Neither of which have structural beams that you can bend with a pliers. :)

How do you explain all BYDs sold in Thailand getting 5 star EURO NCAP ratings?

Brilliant! And this response from a poster on that thread “I assume this is a Mazda 2 or 3. They go bad frequently and we replace a lot in the UK.”

30 year old Camry… My sympathies. I drive new cars. Because I can afford to.

In all fairness, I owned a (BRAND NEW) Mazda 2 for 5 years. It was relatively free motoring (apart from having to have a service every 6 months) until the key sensor gave up the ghost. Mazda CM tried to tell me that the Panasonic CR 2032 lithium batteries I had in my keys were too “fat” and that I should use the OEM Mazda CR 2032 lithium batteries (which were made by Panasonic). So I’m going to wear the hat of an anti-EVer and state conclusively that Panasonic batteries are garbage.

The test doesn't include using a pliers to bend the structural beams. :)

Obviously the independent EURO NCAP people should pay more attention to an anti Chinese shouty YouTube channel rather than do real tests.
