(1/2) PM Srettha said Weds his gov't is seeking to have Thai passport holders to be exempted from having to apply for a schengen visa. He added currently it's difficult & time consuming for Thais to travel to France, Italy or Spain.

(2/2) Srettha made the remark during a keynote speech on an annual Matichon seminar on the topic "Thailand 2024: The Great Challenges". Khaosod English is part of the Matichon Group.

Yeah right... and we would like married people from the Schengen countries to have the same stay visas (2/5/unlimited) and no 90d Reports as Thais living in Europe and married to Europeans.

Reciprocity the key word...

....... given the AfD's antics of late and the sensitivity over immigration generally this is a non-starter........not a snowball's chance in hell.

It's a good move. It could succeed since the wymmyns (who call the shots in EU-Land) have no more to fear from Thai women selling sex for money like they did in the old days.

Visa politics in Western countries is 90% sexual politics.

Don't you know who I am. :cheesy:

I was thinking more of a 10 year multi 180 day entry Visitors visa like The Thai's can get for the UK, (no 90 day reporting or TM30 would be nice.)
