"Now Trump will have to pay Rudy's creditors since his unpaid legal fees to Rudy are one of Rudy's assets in his bankruptcy," he wrote Friday.

Political strategist Simon Rosenberg also chimed in, saying, "My God there's a whole new potential legal problem for Trump and Republicans - he stiffed Rudy."

It seems the only one trump didn't stiff was Stormy Daniels.

But he did get slapped on his fatuga with a rolled up copy of Forbes with his face on it.

If ever proof was needed that the US "justice system" is a very bad joke, this is it. If it was anyone but Trump would the penalty be as large?

  • Did you hear that?  That was the sound of Trump support going up yet again.  Because the American voters recognize this for what it is.  Except, of course, those with TDS.

Beats me, Mr. Interlocutor

Trump's appeals are intended to cause delays. In this case, Trump would have to pay to file an appeal, so he doesn't get the benefit of delay.

I suspect he won't appeal this latest verdict, and instead rely on the appeal in the initial case. If he loses that appeal, he will simply decline  to pay the $83 million for this case, and try to settle for pennies on the dollar.

Shame you guys still base your opinions and worse yet your votes on personalities.  Go ahead and tell me the US in great shape and you want more of the same.  When the courts are used as a weapon against you, you won't be laughing.  Not a Trump supporter but I know corruption when I see it.

Ahem! Do you also believe the 2020 elections have been stolen because of massive fraud?

Nope.

I support candidates who help the middle and working classes.

Trump wants to give tax cuts to billionaires. So, I oppose him.

Always assuming Trump has $83.3 Million to hand.

If he does now, he might very well not have after NY has done with him.

How is it that everyone loved him until he went into politics?  You've been brainwashed.  If anyone is drinking Kool Aid it's you by the gallon.

You mean when Trump was lying about Obama's birth certificate?

Trump could obtain a bond, but he would ultimately have to pay. Once he gets a bond, his bargaining position is gone.

Engrave a stone would even be better! 😃

Joke apart, the system prints a ballot so that the voter can check. The problem is actually the QR code, which they may not use any more.

Yeah.   'Cause Dems (and the complicit MSM who hate Trump) are really going to say that quiet part out loud...

Bottom line, if she filed the same lawsuit today, it would be dismissed under the statute of limitations.  But for that magic time window, she was able to attack Trump in court with a rape that she can't even remember what year it happened.

Pardon me if I don't believe it.

There's one other problem with your belief. Carroll filed her defamation lawsuit in 2019. She did refile it in 2022, With it she also filed also another on the basis of the Survivors act.. So, no, her defamation charge would not have been dismissed under the statute of limitations. In the defamation lawsuit she was not suing Trump for sexual assault. But rather for how he responded to her claim of sexual assault and rape.

The reason why trump has so many cases lined up against him now he used the doj to put everything on hold.the muller report was voted down by Republicans who in Graham's words said let the public decide ( they did he lost bigly in 2020)

In fact if proportional representation was used in America there would rarely be a Republican president.

Tip of the iceberg.  Justice has been slow but justice is coming for this band of deplorable people.

I predict 750 million in the NY case.

Only in America.

True.

He's a convicted sex offender, though that's hardly anything of which to be proud.

It means he must register with local police wherever he lives as a "Sex Offender".

According to NY law, once damages are awarded the defendant has to post the award amount in an escrow account pending appeal, or rather once the appeal is filed. After the first trial, trump posted $5.5 million in an escrow account,as he has already appealed that award.

If he appeals yesterdays verdict, he must post $83.3 million in an escrow account. I do not know if he can use a bondsman, but at this point it is highly unlikely any bondsman would take that risk, as trump has a habit of stiffing everybody. If he does not appeal, he has some limited amount of time to pay up.

In a few days' time, Judge Engoron is going to announce the penalties trump must pay for his bank and insurance fraud convictions. The date for the announcement is 31 January. The NY AG has asked for $370 million, but it is possible the penalty could be much higher. Even if trump appeals that, he must post the full $370 million in an escrow account. If he does not appeal, NY can simply seize assets and sell them until the penalty amount is covered.

It is also anticipated that part of trump's penalty will be that he can no longer do business in NY, nor can his two sons from his first marriage (for 5 years for the lads).

His business will be collapsing, as he does not have the cash to cover all of the awarded penalties....and at the same time Nikki Haley, who now refers to him as "donny"---will be challenging his fragile manhood, since he refuses to debate her (or his team won't allow him because of his rapid cognitive decline).

Get your popcorn ready, as this is going to be fun watching trump become even more unhinged.

Maga snowflakes melt into maga tears. I can probably surf on them soon.

By the way, if trump was innocent, he could have squelched the whole thing by providing a DNA sample. Ms Carroll has the dress she wore when trump sexually assaulted her (trump was convicted of that in a civil trial), and has not laundered it.

Had trump offered up a sample, and if it did not match the stains on the dress, Ms Carroll would have been greatly discredited and a jury, listening to a "He said, she said" trial, would likely have been hung.

Perhaps the reason trump refused to provide a sample is because Ms Carroll told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

That's not the whole story. trump refused and refused, and then right before the trial date he said he would do it (maybe), but that was viewed as a delaying tactic.

He could have provided it right at the start. He did not.

It remains to be seen if he would ever have actually offered it, or if it would become like his tax returns and college transcript. Any day now....really....sure....soon....I promise

Maybe he couldn't get a stiffy and so was unable to provide a DNA sample ?
