I don't think it's sensible for a woman to wear a short skirt, let alone in a shopping mall with escalators. Also, they can't sit down anywhere unless they have a big cushion with them or they fold their legs in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. But it's up to them.

since when has" sense" been involved in what women choose to wear,  just look at some of the shoes they totter around in,

upskirting is now increasing with perverts secretly snapping photos up women’s skirts to sell them to secret online groups,

I wonder who would buy such photos when there is plenty of stuff available free on the internet. Why would you pay for something inferior when you could get better for free?

Presumably the women being upskirted don't know they have been snapped, in which case is I don't know what the fuss is about. If it happened to me when I'm wearing my kilt, I wouldn't care....but I have a thicker skin than most.

It seems like most gals wear shorts under their skirts in Thailand....

I think that's generally  the case,   my mrs is no exception,  any time she wears a skirt on go the lycra cycling shorts ,  she calls them her "keep"  most of her friends use the same term , apparently its not a Thai word but something they have borrowed from english.

A common phrase where I come from for oversized under garments  is "harvest festivals"  which I think is based on the words of a common hymn sung at that time of year,     "all is safely gathered in"       I tried explaining this to her and few of her friends, but they failed to grasp the funny side,

 Women all over the world should be able to wear what they want, where they want, without having to worry about perverts or about what men think is "sensible". Time to drag yourself into the 21st century.

Along with the entire muslim "community"

  In a perfect world what you say would be correct ,   However the realities of life in the 21st century  mean that this is not the case.  Most women realise that wearing a micro skirt or other revealing clothing in certain areas at certain times will attract unwanted attention or possibly worse and therefore sensibly  dress,  well,..... sensibly ,

What is increasing for sure is the envy of older/unattractive women towards younger/attractive ones.

That has always been the case , I'm not sure that sentiment is actually increasing to be honest

No just walk around the bars in  Pattaya

Ladyboy bars maybe ?  and even then I imagine you would have to "engage" with them rather than merely "walk around"  hoping for a glimpse

CENTRAL Investigation Bureau (CIB) posted a warning on their webpage that upskirting is now increasing with perverts secretly snapping photos up women’s skirts to sell them to secret online groups, Naewna newspaper said.

Upskirting is happening at various places such as BTS stations, footbridges, escalators and bathrooms.

CIB urged women to take the following precautionary steps:

– When sitting or climbing stairs try to cover the hem of your skirt with something heavy like a book or a handbag;

I thought you were American , so I guess I owe you an apology,    but what has the thickness of your foreskin got to do with anything and how would you know it is thicker than most ?    is that sort of thing common knowledge, and, presumably,  considered a positive attribute in the highlands?
