But people of Arab descent in Michigan, who are unhappy with Biden's position on Gaza, could swing that state. And without Michigan Biden is hosed.

Let's just be honest, it will come down to 4 - 6 states, and a total of 60,000 - 80,000 votes.

That's my worry as well. Biden should abide by world opinion and go out a hero by stopping the war. Vetoing resolutions for a cease fire is going to kill it for the dems. Non compulsory voting is a curse.

Non compulsory voting is far better. Provides more freedom. Freedom is a good thing.

Can anybody here explain what Dolf thinks he's getting at by citing sea animals? I don't expect much of one from him.

Didn't the first creatures start in the sea? That's what scientists believe.

Amazing you attack Christians but don't even know the scientific argument.

Ask 20 people in a pub who out of Trump and Biden has had a better life?

Christians see Biden as woke so many won't vote for him.

Pretty sure Biden lies all the time. You could just google it and find out for yourself.

This quote applies particularly to you, so wear it with pride: "I never argue with idiots because they will drag one down to their level and beat you with experience". So no more from me in answer to your nonsensical posts and on to IGNORE you go.......you deserve trump, the idiot that he is.

That's ok. People who resort to abuse are just showing they lost the argument and have no facts to present.

So what about it. Is there some argument that animals could not have evolved in the sea and therefore christianity might be true or something.

He was attacking Christian values and promoting evolution yet didn't know what evolution theory was. I learnt it age 6.

Who doesn't know the scientific argument?

Here's your question again:

"Do you have proof of evolution? Who created the sea animals?"

You clearly didn't understand the article you linked to. Here's a quote from it:

"It wasn't until a billion years later that the first life was brought forth, filling the atmosphere with oxygen."

Animals don't create oxygen.

Actually, the earliest sea life in the fossil record is cyanobacteria.

"The oldest known fossils, in fact, are cyanobacteria from Archaean rocks of western Australia, dated 3.5 billion years old."

https://ucmp.berkeley.edu/bacteria/cyanofr.html#:~:text=The oldest known fossils%2C in,dated 3.5 billion years old.

And what does this have to do with human evolution? Or, for that matter any evolution subsequent to the record offered by the earliest fossils?

Sorry I learnt this a long time ago. Nothing to do with Trump.

You're the one who wrongly questioned the theory of evolution and then claimed I  "didn't know what evolution theory was. Hoist by your own petard, much?

Good that Trump won today. As The Daily Show showed well this week Haley has pretty bad policies too but since she comes across so much more acceptable to normal people, it's good Trump continues to win with the base, as he has much less chance than Haley against Biden.

Haley didn't know what the civil war was about and is pro war. She appeals to nobody except people who vote by gender.

She got 40 per cent so if you are right that she doesn't appeal to many for her own policies  then there must be a fair few anti Trumper Republicans in South Carolina. Doesn't bode well...

Not really, this is normal. They will mostly fall inti line by party. Only 5 to 10% of people who switch teams and polling indicates Biden is losing ground. Guy is too old.

Trump is winning support from several key groups.

Christians, latinos, under 35 and blacks.

The only way Biden can win is via the female vote. Maybe they will feel sorry for the old guy. The other groups are deserting him.

The Dobbs decision proved to be a disaster for Republicans in the midterm. But for some reason, so far, most voters don't connect states' extreme anti-abortion laws to Trump.

The Democrats will do their best to educate voters by featuring videos such as these boasts from Trump.

As speculation swirls around the possibility of Donald Trump's return to power, an influential think tank closely aligned with the former president is gearing up to infuse Christian nationalist ideas into a hypothetical second administration, according to documents obtained by POLITICO.

Leading this effort is Russell Vought, who previously served as Trump's director of the Office of Management and Budget and maintains a close relationship with him. Vought, now the president of The Center for Renewing America (CRA), is part of a conservative consortium preparing for a potential second term for Trump, with "Christian nationalism" listed as a key priority.

Christian nationalists advocate for the prioritization of Christian values in government and public life, believing that the United States was founded as a Christian nation. Despite the country's increasing diversity and secularization, Vought and his allies view Christians as under threat and are poised to advance policies aligned with their beliefs.

While specific Christian nationalist policies are not outlined in the documents, Vought has previously supported a restrictive immigration agenda, citing Biblical teachings as justification. He has also aligned himself with William Wolfe, a proponent of Christian nationalism who has advocated for measures such as overturning same-sex marriage and restricting access to contraception.

Vought's vision for a second Trump administration includes a robust emphasis on Christian principles, with plans to shape public policy accordingly. This effort is part of a broader strategy by conservative groups to influence the direction of a potential future administration.

However, the timeline for these initiatives depends on the outcome of Trump's legal battles and potential Supreme Court rulings on issues such as presidential immunity. Nevertheless, Vought and his allies remain committed to advancing their agenda, buoyed by their proximity to Trump and his base of evangelical supporters.

Despite Trump's own lack of devout religious adherence, he has forged strong alliances with Christian conservatives, who have been a reliable voting bloc for him. Trump's campaign rhetoric has often invoked themes of Christian persecution and the need for federal intervention to protect religious freedom.

As Vought and his organization seek to renew America's commitment to its Christian heritage, they face opposition from critics who view their agenda as divisive and exclusionary. Nevertheless, they are undeterred in their mission to shape public policy in alignment with their religious beliefs, potentially ushering in one of the most conservative executive branches in modern American history.
