Crossy
You know the "chrome" plated ones used on visible urinal and sink wastes. These: - Our "handy person" butchered the vertical bit when cutting to length. We've hidden the dinged bit at the back but Madam is sure to notice, luckily you can get spare pipes. Crossy
I also got a bunch of these to avoid the silicone! https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sb-125-15-2-i2054292693-s6700658525.html
worgeordie
If it's not leaking ,just leave it , you say its at the back of the pipe, if you really must change it , maybe a Dremel drill with fine cutter. regards Worgeordie

Yeah, no leak, but I know about it, I'm sure you know the feeling The Dremel (we have one) sounds like a smart idea. OneMoreFarang
I cut it with an angle grinder. I am sure an ordinary metal saw will also work.
LS24
Dremel with a thin wheel might be okay. Failing that an agle grinder with a thin wheel. Get as many revs on the blade as possible to make the cut clean.
Crossy
I thought the angle-grinder would be a bit "brutal" considering the wall thickness. But I just tried it on some of the bits I cut off, with a 1mm cutting disc, did the trick no problem. Wrapped the pipe in a rag (mind it doesn't catch) and held gently in the vice. So, there's the answer, or at least one of many possibilities.
Korat Kiwi
Wrap a bit of insulation tape around it before cutting. Then you get a smoother edge/cut.
lopburi3
Less than 100 baht at any local shophouse and almost foolproof (one cut).

Try sandwiching the pipe between 2 pices of thin wood, hold it in the vice and cut through the whole lot ,a hack saw with a fine blade, or as you have found out an angle grinder would work, it should give you a clean cut. Yellowtail
I wrap the pipe in two-inch masking tape for a nice straight edge. 4" angle grinder with a cut-off wheel works perfect for me. I like to put the grinder in the vice and rotate the work. Holding the grinder in one hand and rolling the tubing into the wheel works too. Thise neoprene grommets are the cat's. I use silicone grease on all the parts.
impulse
I'd use a 12" cut-off saw, after wrapping tape over the intended cut. Cut as slow and gentle as you can stand it for the smoothest edge, then use the side of the blade to chamfer the edge. Again, minimal pressure for the smoothest results. Don't just reef on it. And if you don't have a 12" cut off saw, I suggest anyone with the space to buy one. They are extremely handy for so many jobs around the house. About 1400 baht on Lazada. I'd spring for the 1750 baht Maktec because I always had good luck with Makita's economy brand of power tools.
