British people are the same as people from any other Country and some of them do do wrong things, like people from anywhere else .    Your claim is incorrect

Oh, it's time for Brit bashing.

Ecstasy is a good stuff, even many investigators are taking it before interrogating the suspects.

Maybe this Brit was an interrogator?

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but ecstasy is a nice drug as drugs go, certainly the most enjoyable of the pills available. At 1000 baht a pill, they were probably smuggled from Europe and likely to be very high quality. The details of the LSD sales are obviously totally wrong - 100 baht a trip sounds more reasonable, and this modern stuff is nowhere near as potent as the trips available in the 60's and 70's. I feel a bit sorry for the guy really. I used to buy the same stuff from an Aussie back in the 90s when I lived in Bangkok. The people who write these articles really need to fact check their articles and opinions, because a lot of what they report, including the dangers of the drugs, are just nonsense.

No further mention of the "unsuspecting tourists " who somehow were the recipients of this "clandestine peddling " .

Gosh they must have been shocked !

That would be where my money is. You cannot cut into the local business before you get taken out. Ahh the land of smiles. Then rat you out to the nearest cop

Tread with care...someone might say;

It has to do with the way the bloodthirsty Thais are vilifying foreigners for this one guy, banning him, deporting him, blacklisting him.

He is but the tip of the iceberg, check out TikTok and see the characters there peddling kratom potions, weed fro his island lab etc. and being ejected along with his girlfriend from an airplane, also the guy who boasts about his commercial grass-growing activities ChaingMai way. check out the guys who brag about their online work no W/P

Took them 5 months lol, guess the police came from bangkok and liked the holiday as much?

Surprised they only caught him, there is dozens doing this on both tao and phangan.

The police followed up on the suspect for five months before the arrest.

Find his drug source(s), customers, etc.? Why such a long investigation. Were some police, other pushers, suppliers implicated?

Brilliant. You get the gold medal. I salute you :bah:

Is there any use in translating the local name Koh Tao, to Turtle island? Local people wouldn't know where that is.  All Thai words have meaning. What will happen if they translate every local name into English?

Sense of humour wanted .

It is due to a couple of medical procedures carried out earlier - Charisma and humour by pass surgery, a lot of people on this forum seem to elect for this type of surgery before posting on Thai Visa.

£200 only  gone are the days walking I to a club in Brixton or Farrington and queuing to get your E's. Who remembers the wrap of pink speed.

Five months? And in that five months of observation he obviously didn't sell any drugs as they would have arrested him then and there, wouldn't they? You know, before he sold any more drugs which they say are such a danger to society. And I assume also that buying drugs isn't illegal, or they would have arrested the buyers too over that five months of looking and doing nothing.

But the English do

I don't judge people for their addictions or choice of drug. But leave the dealing to the locals, or live to regret it. As this man most certainly will.
