Popular Post Dcheech Posted March 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2024 "brutal assault" Here we go again, just as it was slowing down a bit. Imagine those two will spend some time in the hoosegow, not that I care what they do to them. The Thai media is going to run with this for another week at least. Starting with the swiss kicker this has been a solid month of the evil that farang do. You bet the Chinese diplomatic crew are laughing their hind ends off at this turn of events. 1 1 1 2 1

In NZ it is reported that the guys were protecting themselves. But as usual, on here, we get the "hang the farang" attitude. Guys, Thai police are not law abiding people, even Thais will tell you that. Getting both sides of the story is irrelevant, the police represent the state and have power, they are foreigners and have none. If they are hoping for an unbiased trial western style they are in for a big disappointment, what they did was foolish in the extreme. Refusing to stop was arrogant and things escalated from there, the RTP can't let this go, the loss of face alone was enormous, they are bound to be locked up for years. 6 11 2 1 1

They was trying to get away because they had no licence on them but O.B didn't know who they were so probably drew his gun. But this won't end well for them, neither will it help the image of foreigners here. What video, do you have a link to share with us? The one the screenshots are from only shows the guy on top of the cop wrestling him down. 1

Popular Post ricklev Posted March 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2024 Only a moron would not at least consider the possibility that what is being reported might not be the whole story or might have elements lacking in truth. Before you condemn them ask yourself the question: Am I a moron? That said, maybe they did act violently against the police. I don't know. 1 4 4 1

Popular Post sikishrory Posted March 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2024 There's more to this story than the footage and twisted up story shows. I wish they could present it in a raw, factual and non-biased form without the witch hunt journalism. Adam Judds account is vastly more professional than the second story. The kiwi is clearly saying they were attacked and are shown trying to disarm the cop and make the gun safe for fear of their life. I would like to see the part where the angelic officer kindly "asked for cooperation from them to stop their motorbikes" (for riding in a way that is quite normal for Thailand) and somehow lost one of his bullets. Plenty of cameras down around that area with the Chalong Police station and tunnels so where is the footage showing the whole encounter? The guy has BJJ experience and generally controlling someone from their back like that is quite a harmless defence not an "attack". Without the full footage it doesn't look good for them regardless. 8 2 2 2

Throw them in jail and give them a taste of Thai prison for a few years then deport them and never let them come back..... How do you know, they could have been acting in self defence, could have been a drunk cop overacting and turned his gun on these two, looks like thesudued the officer and were holding his gun, they were not pointing it at him, I'll bet the cop was on something. 3 3 5 1

NZ has a lot of foreign imports... just because they are White does not infer they were originally from NZ.. NZ now takes all kinds of riffraff with only pathetic checks by NZ immigration - which is designed to make it hard for the honest decent people to get into NZ... getting a license for a pistol in NZ is not easy....
