On March 15th, 2024, Dr. Chaiya Promma, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, performed an inspection in Chiang Mai to tackle air pollution, PM 2.5, which was at concerning levels in the northern region.

Useless people.

The operation deployed up to six types of aircraft during the mission to alleviate PM 2.5, wildfires, and drought problems.

The Minister should be told that if this operation fails to quickly alleviate 100% of the air pollution problem, the Minister should immediately resign and charged with cost of the operation. One might find the Minister will experience a change of decision.

Always a sign of desperation: Good PR, zero effect.

Talk about timing. This news released at the same time as a warning about a severe summer storm approaching that area today and tomorrow.. I guess they will now be able to take credit if the summer storm actually dissipates the smog problem there rather than the summer storm that is predicted.

IF it really works, you know, where there are no clouds and it would not have rain by itself, normally, then why is it not used more to cancel pm2.5...well, because it does not...but because someone 'invented' it thai style, it cannot be told the truth

Chiang Mai is like a bowl & all smoke / pollution stays there until the rain or heavy wind - doesn't help that the governor or the government do SFA - always lip service but no real action against them - the ones that start the fires 🔥

Here we areand it's the 8th April. No rain, no wind, pollution levels soaring, goverment excuses soaring, PM's inability to lead soaring, inability to find a solution soaring, putting the blame on other countries soaring. Likelihood of no useful action and the same happening next year....soaring.

Good innit.
