Suspect Arrested after Stabbing Gardener to Death in Wichit

Phuket-In Wichit, a 55-year-old male suspect was apprehended in Patong following a fatal altercation that resulted in the stabbing death of a 49-year-old man.


According to the Wichit Police, as reported by the Phuket Express, the incident occurred on Tuesday, March 19th, at a labor camp located in Soi Thep Anusorn, Wichit. The victim, Mr. Boonkamplan Boonchoo, a 49-year-old native of Sisaket, succumbed to stab wounds. Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene.

 

The Phuket Provincial Court issued an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as Mr. Issara Khunpoechai, 55. Mr. Issara, who is now facing murder charges, was detained on Thursday, March 21st, along the 50 Years Hill Road in Patong.

 

Mr. Issara confessed to authorities that he had been drinking alcohol with Mr. Boonkamplan on the day of the incident.
