'Openly Jewish' man threatened with arrest by Police near pro-Palestine march

Recommended Posts

Posted

In the Sky News footage, the activist insisted he was only trying to cross the road down which the demonstration was passing, but this is disputed by an officer in the new footage, who said Mr Falter had deliberately walked head-on into the crowd and accused him of being "disingenuous" and seeking to "antagonise" the marchers.

Sky News has decided not to identify the officer.

Extended exchange

As emotions continue to run high over the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, the Sky News footage shows a Met police sergeant explaining to Mr Falter that it was a "big demonstration" and barring his way to the march.

When Mr Falter asked if it was because he is Jewish, the officer nods and says "unfortunately".

The officer said: "Unfortunately, sir you took it upon yourself to go from the pavement right into the middle of a pro-Palestinian march, which is why I asked you to go away."

He added: "You are looking to try and antagonise this."

"So I can already see what your mindset is, sir."

It's not often I agree with a radical Marxist, but Chomper is in the right here.  His point likely is calling people animals is unnecessarily inflammatory and shuts down debate.  If you would have used a fact-based description like "1000's of Hamas sympathizers" it wouldn't be an issue.

I was replying to a poster who stated that the protestors would rip the Jew to pieces if they got hold of him , and that is why I described them as animals , because animals rip other animals to pieces just because they are different

Your 'hate filled terrorist mob' are probably mostly British citizens exercising their legal right to free speech, replete with a permit from the authorities allowing them to do so.

You must really hate Jews when you have to personally attack posters that see the injustice that is going on in Jewish communities at this time!

FYI, @NanLaew fully supports Israel and the fight for Jews not to be erased from civilisation.

I hope this aids your comprehension.

Good to hear, then why do you feel the need to personally attack other posters that do the same, it is immature.

Obviously a very aggressive mob with shouts of "baby killers" "shame on you" "scum"  "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."

Confirmation its just not safe for Jews in London at weekends.

I think that fits the description of a loud and vociferous crowd making overtly offensive remarks.

‘Aggressive Mob’ is a stretch.

For someone that can't bring themselves to admit a Jew has been discriminated against and instead calls them an activist, nah. No stretch and an aggressive mob chanting genocide "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."

Well he is an activist and he was refusing to follow the lawful instructions of a police officer.

I think some of the things some participants in the demonstration are chanting are unacceptably offensive.

But that’s no excuse to label the whole demonstration unacceptable or resort to calling the demonstrations an ‘aggressive mob’.

Though of course I do accept there are those who would much rather the demonstrations were not permitted and the events that are driving the demonstrations were exempt from organized public opposition .

It’s not a random accusation is it?!

You might not agree with the accusation, but it has a basis and yes opinions differ:

https://www.npr.org/2024/01/26/1227078791/icj-israel-genocide-gaza-palestinians-south-africa

Its a call for genocide and you know it and I also note you claim it has a basis.

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free” is a rallying cry for terrorist groups and their sympathizers, from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) to Hamas, which called for Israel’s destruction in its original governing charter in 1988 and was responsible for the October 7, 2023 terror attack on Israeli civilians, murdering over 1,200 people in the single deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. It is also a common call-to-arms for pro-Palestinian activists, especially student activists on college campuses. It calls for the establishment of a State of Palestine from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, erasing the State of Israel and its people. Another phrase “Globalize the Intifada,” which uses the Arabic word for “uprising” or “shaking off,” also calls for widespread violence against both Israelis and Jews across the globe

I do know the ICJ have stated the accusation of genocide is plausible and I do know that some demonstrators accuse Israel of genocide.

When I say the some demonstrators accuse Israel of genocide, I have a reference:

“The marches have been largely peaceful. However, many demonstrators accuse Israel of genocide and a small number have shown support for Hamas, the group that led the Oct. 7 attack on Israel and which has been banned by the U.K. government as a terrorist organization.”

Singing the ‘River to the Sea’ definitely meets my idea of what constitutes unacceptably offensive remarks.

But let’s not conflate overtly offensive remarks with the plausible accusation of genocide.

Here about 50 pages on the ICJ topic SA and Israel  this is not it. We all know demonstrators accuse Israel.

Again you've deflected from the aggressive mob chanting "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." A genocide chant:

US House resolution condemns chant ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’

The slogan “seeks to deny Jewish people the right to self-determination and calls for the removal of the Jewish people from their ancestral homeland,” the resolution text continues, alleging that it is a “rallying cry” that promotes violence against both the State of Israel and Diaspora Jewry, and “does a disservice to Israelis, Palestinians and all those in the region who seek peace.”

Presenting the motion to the House, D’Esposito charged that “this slogan communicates one thing and one thing only. It is not human rights, and it is certainly not peace. It is the violent destruction of the State of Israel.”

https://www.timesofisrael.com/us-house-resolution-condemns-chant-from-the-river-to-the-sea-palestine-will-be-free/

Rishi Sunak, “Those who chant ‘from river to the sea, Palestine will be free’, are either useful idiots who do not understand what they are saying, or worse, people who wish to wipe the Jewish state from the map”.

So what if they accuse Israel of Genocide? What has that got to do with the Jews in London getting threatened and discriminated against?

An odd question since it was you who brought up the subject of what the Protesters were chanting.

I've been searching high and low for any normal Jews in London who feel threatened or discriminated against, to no avail.

So I've concluded it is only the Israeli propagandists who have a problem, whilst they are pushing the Israeli stories, bit of bad luck their having as the vast majority don't agree with them.

Its not about what you can find, the police chief says otherwise.

Sir Mark replied: “I’m not disputing that.

“It’s very clear Jewish communities in London are traumatised and upset and sometimes fearful, based on events that happened overseas and the increasing hate crime in London. And that’s an awful place for us to be as a capital city, and we are doing everything we can do to tackle that.”

Apart from my assertion here that I am pro-Israel, you know absolutely nothing about me.

Nothing.

Because some "other posters that do the same" are making an absolute mountain out of a molehill with this non-event. Calling or identifying someone as being 'openly Jewish' is an anti-Semitic act now?

Mr Falter wanted to cross through the protesters.

The policeman suggested to Mr Falter that he wait. He refused.

The policeman suggested that he take a different route. He refused.

The police even offered to escort him. He refused.

Yes, anti-Semitism is ugly and yes it is real and yes it is indefensible, but some here appear to be so unbelievably wrapped up in being more woke than thou, it's risible. By persisting in believing Mr Falter's innocent 'walking while Jewish' nonsense, you're all being played like a cheap violin. Maybe that's what Islamophobia does to some people.

You haven't got a Scooby Doo, and by the way I don't want to know anything about you as I find your posts abhorrent to say the least.

Oh dear Mr Falter wanted to exercise his right as a Londoner to go about his business in a manner we should be used to in a free country and he was threatened with arrest for wanting to cross the road, what planet are you from!

Officers were also heard to have said that if Mr Falter should return here he was to be put in a pen, whatever that entails.

Mr Falter was in no way at fault for exercising his right as a Londoner to go about his business, the mob were the threat and all the more reason these antisemitic hate marches must be immediately stopped!

But if anything it has exposed how biased the London Met Police are, we have lost the capability of policing these hate marches and Mr Falter exposed the inadequacy of the police in London. They are afraid of the mob and Mr Falter was an easy target, but the problem we have is the police service is so woke now if Sir Mark Rowley was replaced we would end up with another of the establishments pathetic woke cop in waiting!

Oh no, not that old chestnut. Islamophobia, is a recently invented word, used by the left, and antisemites, as a way of shutting down any discussion or criticism about the myriad problems that Islam has brought to western civilisation.

A phobia, just in case you didn’t know, is an unreasonable, or irrational fear of something.

Do I fear Islam ? absolutely, it terrifies me. Is my fear irrational or unreasonable ? absolutely not, it is based on a very logical, rational  thought process, influenced by the hundreds of attacks and murders of innocent western civilians by muslims; here are just a few that spring to mind:

9/11 USA 2,996 dead 25,000 + injured

7/7  London bombs 52 dead 784 injured

2017 London Bridge, 8 killed 48 injured

2017 Barcelona, driver mows down 100 people, 14 dead 130 injured.

2022 Manchester concert bomb, 22 dead 119 injured

2015 Charlie Hebbo 12 dead

2019 London Bridge 2 dead 3 injured

2020 France stabbing and beheading 3 dead

2020 Samuel Paty, French teacher beheaded in the street

2015 Bataclan, Paris 130 dead 350 wounded

2015 Nice, France, truck rampage 86 dead 434 injured

2023 Arras France .. teacher stabbed to death

2016 Rouen France 85 year old priest has throat slit at alter of church

2023 Brussels, 2 Swedish football fans shot dead

2018 Carcassonne France 5 dead 15 injured

All these slaughters of innocent western civilians, and there are hundreds more, yes, hundreds more, were carried out by adherents to the faith of Islam. How dare you call a fear of these murderous, medieval, intolerants a phobia. Islam is not a religion like any other religion; it is by doctrine, a misogynistic, homophobic, barbaric, medieval, supremacist ideology, which states clearly its aim for global dominance by force.

It openly practices the subjugation of all women, the eradication of all gays, and promotes the female genital mutilation of 12 year old children, as well as advocating men marrying their 10 year old cousins, and that really progressive addition to modern society, “honour killings” ….. but the greater danger that it presents to western civilisation, is that it has people like you appeasing this death cult masquerading as a religion ….. shame on you.
