True, the celebrity cult in America is idiotic. However, the political and religious cults that have sprung up there are more than mindless, they have become extremely dangerous to everyone on the planet. The farcical film, Idiocracy, was mentioned in a news story I was reading this morning. For some years I've also been of the opinion that it has become more of a documentary about the failed states of America. For the smartest country on earth, it has vast swathes of the stupidest people to ever draw breath. Many of whom bleat their versions of idiocracy on this forum. I often wonder how many of them actually live here 1

Trump is now in court daily and his team are lying like hell to get him out of the shi ite again. Prubangboy
De Niro got some grief in New York Magazine for having his personal assistant drop what she was doing to deliver a martini from Nobu (he's a part-owner). What person on earth can't make their own martini? It took longer to make the call. Being rich drives you mad. Rich and mega-famous? I'd go off the deep end too. NY Mag is a good one to add to your daily news trawl -I'd call the politics old-lefty, which is now sort of the middle of the road. Also great only-in-New-York issues like a long read on why 3 bedroom apartments have vanished.

We find biden's stance on immigration to be a greater threat than Trump's locker room talk. Blind to what Trump is? Not blind, I don't like him as a person, never watched his horrendous show, figured anyone who went to his college deserved what they got. Biden embraced wokism (not to be confused with liberalism) which is a greater danger than Trump's bad tweets or hair style. Wow. Your panties are in a bun over minor issues. The immigration situation wasn't great under Trump, but you guys didn't whine about it then. As for "wokism", the opposite is racism, and you guys never complain about that. You sound like those poorly educated old white guys dreading that their white privilege is going away. 1 2

JOE BAMA
Maybe we should pay more attention to logic and logical fallacies. Attacking De Niro instead of his words entails using a common logical fallacy called "ad hominem" or "attack the man." The Donald himself uses logical fallacies with wild abandon. I agree with everything De Niro said about Trump except the view that Trump is "stupid." He is not stupid. He obviously understands how to manipulate and persuade tens of millions of Americans. Americans would do well to heed George Orwell's words and steer clear of Mr. Trump.
