Using dark psychology

I have been reading some interesting books lately on Dark psychology 

 

You will find a hustler in Asia  taxi or market stall  will raise the price if your in a hurry or they know you have no other option 

 

One thing I love doing is booking a grab or bolt then running out of my hotel with my bags to ask the street hustler how much for the taxi to Bangkok he then ok ok ok ok 

But doesn't tell me the price 

I tell him I'm in a hurry 

He then says 2500 ok 

He then calls the taxi 

I wait for my real car then hop in and wave to the hustler as I go 😂

Does it feel you better when you do that? For 5min or is it a high for the rest of the day?

No you have not, you have not been up to BKK from Pattaya. Keep thinking like that and you will have even more problems here than you have now. Dark psychology, what a crock.

I haggled the price of a backpack with a smart ass indian guy yesterday in a Bangkok market,they all seem to be indian or Nepalese 

Him with his fancy shirt and gold chain 

 

I said how much is that backpack?

Smart ass comes out with " how much you want to pay boss ?

 

300 I said knowing it was a low price 

"Just got you boss I can make a deal for 900 , because you boss are my friend 

I kept haggling for 15 minutes,until I got it down to 450

He said deal !

And shook my hand 

I then went silent and walked off ,300 baht I shouted 

He said "Bosss you shook my hand ! You shook my hand said the indian guy 

"Yes I did and you know what I said 

He looked at me stunned 😳 

"Baby ...I lied ! I sang that ....baby I lied 😂

Oh dear you really do need Psychiatric help, can you not get it in the hospital you clean. IMO you are mentally disturbed, going  by your posts.

You haven't reported back about giving Prisoners in Thailand Psycho help, how did that go ? if they weren't Psycho before your visit they sure would be now. Seriously you sound like a danger to others and yourself. SEEK HELP !

1)  Price Gouging.  Selling a needed thing at a higher price.  But for the taxi driver it would be racketeering.

 

2)  Premium Pricing Strategy.  Always have a high price to make the product look better.  This is done at Tops, Villa Market, Shopping Malls.  The same crap as Seven Eleven but 10 times the price.  Because people feel better when they spend money.

In Breaking News..... Ozzy gets arrested and deported for constantly annoying, and complains everywhere he goes, he is being held while he gets a mental health assessment before he is deported and banned.

The problem with your technique is that time is money. You have not really received a true price or a discount. You paid for it with time and probably aggravation.

I haggled with a kosan road seller for a rucksack, she was convinced as it said North Face it was worth much more, but it's fake, not North Face, anyway i bought for a cheap price and as expected didn't last long

I live in a condo building and there are several motorbike guys (the same guys) that camp out near the driveway all the time.

 

They just sit there on these small plastic chairs for hours staring at the condo complex waiting for some foreigner to walk out. Most of the time people are headed to the 7-11 which makes it even worse, as all expectations for a fare are dashed. There's not much foot traffic.

 

Any movement is met with a clap or other odd gesture to get attention.

 

What an awful job! Makes me wonder if one of these guys is going to snap one day, get violent, or something similar. I would go nuts with just a blank like this. At least a security gig has rounds to do and other tasks.

 

What do these motorbike guys typically make in a day?
