Thailand is gearing up for the much-anticipated “PRIDE NATION SAMUI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL.” Scheduled to take place on Koh Samui Island next month, this event celebrates inclusivity and is expected to attract tourists from all around the world.

Under the theme ‘Let’s Join PRIDEradise,’ this festival is a joint effort by the Thai government and private sectors, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Surat Thani Province, and RS Multimedia & Entertainment. Its main goal is to transform Samui Island into a vibrant hub for celebrating Pride Month, particularly attracting tourists from across Southeast Asia.

In addition to promoting social inclusiveness, the event is anticipated to provide a substantial boost to the local economy, potentially attracting over 100,000 tourists and invigorating business ahead of Samui's peak season. Importantly, the festival will also serve as a celebratory backdrop for Thailand’s recent approval of a marriage equality bill, which legalizes same-sex marriage.

Festival highlights will include the Sunset Parade, music festivals, parties, seminars, and workshops, all designed to create an engaging and uplifting experience. The governor has urged local hotels and businesses to extend warm hospitality to visitors and keep service prices reasonable, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all.

The PRIDE NATION SAMUI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL will run from June 24 to June 29. Additionally, Thailand will also host the Pride Celebration and Drag Festival in Bangkok, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to diversity and equality.

Well the alphabet people will be pleased.  I hope it helps with the low times of tourism.

Just received an Email from the US embassy warning Americans not to attend these due to increased chance of violence occurring.

At least the Embassy is aware of the violent nature of Ladyboys and giving warnings like this.
