You seem to have it backward. Certainly deluded if you think Ukraine can bring about the demise of Russia, IMO.

If you are correct and it is not about the demise of Russia ( hahahaha ) the loss of life in Ukraine is easily achieved by halting the supply of weapons to Ukraine followed by a negotiated end to the war.

wonder what would happen if China, NK, Iran stopped supplying weapons to Russia, that would be interesting to see Putin's reaction

Kursk update from the WSJ Chief Foreign-Affairs Correspondent

Day four of Ukraine’s “special military operation” in Russia. What we know amid the fog of war:

Ukrainian forces continue to hold the city of Sudhza and operate in a large swath of Kursk region.

A Russian reinforcement column was destroyed on the highway to Rylsk (video shot by a local resident)

Overnight, Ukrainian drones struck the major Russian Air Force base in Lipetsk.

Footage shows major ammunition explosions going off all night. Russian military channels say no aircraft were damaged. Satellite pictures will show.

As for Putin seeming “helpless”?  Do you not realize that Russia could reduce the entire country of Ukraine to rubble?  But that’s not the goal.

Seems like they are having a good try to turn Ukraine to rubble

this is yesterday's map.

I guess Ukraine's objectives are Rylsk, Lgov, Kurchatov and NPP, and the area where the bigger roads intersect just east from Kurchatov and south of Kursk.

I hope they made good progress since then.

Yesterday's map shows the Ukrainian spearhead just 10-15 miles away from what I would guess is their primary objective. Maybe it's been taken by now.

The area is very defensible in the long term, attacks from the north are unlikely due to unfavourable terrain, which only leaves the eastern flank to defend.

Taking the NPP would be good for Ukraine, and it would also for the first time put some pressure on a Russian city.

They should cut off Kursk from power and instead redirect it to Ukraine. Might take some time though, lines are probabably either inexistent or damaged.

Just out of spite and for comical effect, I would definitely suggest conduction a referendum there for the establishment of an "Autonomous Kursk Republic".

137% of Kursk Oblast's population will vote in favour.

The regions of Ukraine bordering Russia are urgently looking for blood donors. Locals report that a large number of wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are being pulled to the rear.

Of course.

We know.

The Russians invaded to "de-Nazify" and also to instill a love of Russian novels.

Ukraine's Special Military Operation just gets better.....

Ukraine launches ‘massive’ drone strike on Russia’s Lipetsk region, as cross-border attack rages on

image.png.072ccb338fdabd42a5cd886bc1fb651c.png

Russia’s Lipetsk region has been struck by a “massive” Ukrainian drone attack, according to its governor, as Ukraine’s cross-border assault into Russia shows no sign of easing.

At least nine people were wounded in the attack, which damaged energy infrastructure and prompted the temporary evacuation of residents in several areas, Lipetsk governor Igor Artamonov wrote Friday on Telegram.

The reported strike comes after Russia accused Ukrainian troops of crossing the border into its Kursk region on Wednesday, which marked the first incursion of its kind from Ukraine and put pressure on Moscow in an area largely untroubled by more than two years of war.

Not difficult to connect the dots that wars are very profitable. To some.

yes - although the reconstruction will be profitable for many more than just investors and company owners, whole sectors of industry will benefit as well as their workers.

We are talking big industries here, construction, energy, civil engineering, etc. Heavy stuff.

it's called psychological warfare- kill civilians to demoralise the enemy

Happened a lot during WW2.

The jury is out on whether it works though.

You don't have to explain.

It shows the difference, Ukraine attacking military targets, Russia attacking civilians.

According to the don't poke the bear brigade crossing any of Putin's red lines would immediately result in him launching nukes. Turns out his response instead is to give each displaced Russian resident about 100 dollars which is almost as insulting as nothing.

I haven’t seen or read anywhere that China is supplying weapons to Russia. Unless consider a shovel or a washing machine a weapon.

However, if the west stopped supplying weapons to Ukraine, the conflict will end immediately. As I posted 2 1/2 yrs ago. When Ukraine still had all its lands. And hundreds of thousands more citizens.

That's far from the truth. China supplies essential dual purpose items to Russia and its Military Complex. Critical components that are essential to make more munitions, tanks, armoured vehicles, missiles and even drones and satellite tech. 70% of the machine tools and 90% of the microelectronics Russia imports come from China.

Oh and you are also wrong today as you were 2 1/2 years ago. Ukraine would not have all its lands, they would be Russian.

Ooooh, the Welsh Red bloke is back giving advice, whom, in 1940 would have been locked up or shot in his homeland for saying the same....

You should be ashamed of yourself, go join Putin's lines, he needs YOU......😒
