Celsius
I permanently moved to Thailand at the tender age of 39. I admit I was chatting with a girl who later became my first Thai wife. On the second date she invited me to pick her up at her office. What were some of the first pics you took in Thailand....not as a tourist, but as expat? Popular Post OneMoreFarang
Something like this, Sukhumvit Road without Skytrain. We didn't have digital pictures at that time, and I am too lazy to look for old slides. 2 1

Myself and a friend lived walking distance away and our weekend ritual was a walk to Panthip Plaza where we'd end up buying various bits and bytes. 2

I remember when I was there the first time, still a holiday, I think in 1994. There was one shop with all those CDs, at that time still all directly available in the shop. I couldn't believe that everything was available, and so cheap. Recently, almost 30 years later, I moved to another apartment, and I rediscovered my stash of CDs. Hundreds of them, maybe thousands.
Popular Post RayWright
First photo I took as an expat was the Electric meter when I moved into my first Condo down in Na Jomtien. Going through some old photos of my dad's, found this from 1951, so most likely his first Expat photo when he was posted to Bangkok. No scooters or hanging network cables. Those were the days.
