If the cult didn't exist, the Repubs could have a cakewalk to the White House by choosing a non-convicted felon candidate. The cult runs too deep, however. Own goal.

GUARANTEED the convicted felon will become even more deranged, violent and bizarre as we move forward. That is going to alienate more swing voters than the conviction itself. The cult is going to stay with him no matter what, just as members of his cult here are doing. Swing voters, however, are key.

Had the convicted felon not installed his daughter-in-law as head of the RNC, rationality and pragmatism might have entered and Repubs would have dropped him and chosen Haley or DeSantis of someone who could beat Biden.

This is a FACT. A moldy ham sandwich would beat Biden right now. Poll after poll shows this, little variance. It is the stubborn MAGA cult behavior that is shooting themselves in the foot. They're making their bed.

How do they say ity in Thailand? Oh yeah - sum num na.

Farcial?  The jury who reviewed documents, text messages, emails, video and audio tapes and listened to the first hand testimony of republican after republican and then voted unanimously to convict donnie apparently think he is guily as charged.

Too bad the various other judges in 4 more criminal indictments for even more serious felonies have allowed trump to make a mockery of the judicial system with frivoluous motions and delays.  If a few of these judges had a set of gonads we would have the even more serious criminal trials before the election and donnie would lkely be wearing an orange suit by halloween.

Farcical. There's no way this survives an appeal. It doesn't matter now anyway, it can't be appealed before the election due to the sentencing date.

And I said already, I think there's more merit in the other cases. This one is a joke. A very poor joke.

In what percentage of those cases did the defendants repeatedly violate gag orders?

Probably none.

Then again ...

Records from the New York Division of Criminal Justice Services show 10 years ago, 101 people were arrested in New York City in cases where the top charge was falsification of business records. But In 2022, just 39 people faced that top charge. And last year in Manhattan, only 2 people were arrested in cases where falsifying business records was the most serious charge.
