160 Honda Click 2 year review

How big are you?

Touring around the country on a Click is fine if you're a little bloke and 350 too big for manoeuvres

I'm 186cm, the PCX is much better.

I'm short but exceedingly heavy, a lot of which is fat and a lot that isn't.  A taller man would run into trouble on the 350 due to the high floorboards. I wouldn't want legs with more than a 30 inch inseam on that bike.  I let a man around your height sit on my ADV to get a feel for it and he said "no way".

Is there a government inspection required after a bike is 3 years old?  My Click turns 3 on Valentine's Day and the lady said it couldn't be insured beyond the end of February.

I grew tired of the limitations of the Click and bought an ADV 350 a year ago this week. I logged 15,000 km on it in 5 months of touring around the country and......I missed the Click!   The ADV has a great suspension and it was nice to cruise all day at 120 to 140, but man that thing is wide and heavy.  The Click was way more fun in Northern Thailand on the twisty roads and there's no comparison in Pattaya traffic.  I've gone back to riding it and will probably sell the ADV this month.

There's a lot of useful information on this short thread; thank you for sharing it here.  I've got the YSS front and rear and while an improvement on the stock suspension, I still find it lacking.

ADV 350 is excessively big, no need for it to be that big with a 350 engine, my BMW F800GS was a similar size.

As for inspection i think it's 5 years, i just got the tax after 4 years and didn't need it

I was having problems with my keyless ignition, changing batteries didn't solve it, i fixed it by changing the shoulder bag i was using which held the key fob, other one must have caused interference so was connecting intermittently

worried about it falling out - if it's on a hook, it can't fall off ...

With a pocket there's a risk it may fall out, lost a phone that way, plus for longer journeys can get caught out by rain

pop it under the seat, it locks then won't reopen or start engine, nightmare, sometimes you need to hold the fob near the ignition

My two years: 24 months and 24,000km.

One puncture (can't blame the bike for that). Scheduled services, new tyres and drivebelt. Haven't changed the battery in key fob yet.

Many trips to Sa Kaeo, Rayong and Trat, no issues.

Where do you keep your key fob?

The Click 160 is the worthy winner (imho) of the best scooter for wizzing round pattaya award - ADV 150/160 definitely worth a mention ...
