Sorry about my English.

One friend needs to transfer 500.000 THB into a bank account in Thailand, a bank transfer seems to be expensive. He finds a 50.000 THB limit in two web agencies, is this limit the same in all agencies?

If not, what is an option?

Thanks for any help.

Where are the funds coming from?  Outside Thailand?  Inside Thailand?  What two web agencies are you referring to?

Providing more information will yield better answers.

The funds will come from a bank account in Spain. One of the agencies is WorldRemit, not sure about the other, may be Currency Fair. The same message in both "The amount can't be over 49.999,99 THB"

Wise can send up to 2 million baht to Bangkok Bank and to Kasikorn Bank.  1.5 million baht to SCB (well 1.499999 milion).

Usually at the higher end a bank transfer is the most cost efficient but that sounds not to be the case for Euros and Spanish banks.

It looks like Wise will work for sending money from Spain to Thailand.

12,667€  will yield 500,032 ฿ and will cost you about 95 € in fees, not including the fee to get the money to Wise.

Let's hope it's his own bank account here, otherwise, it could all end up just another sad story for him, like so many others that came before him.
