Kari Lake Loses Appeals Court Challenge of 2022 Arizona Governor Race Loss

Republican Kari Lake has lost her appeal in the Arizona Court of Appeals challenging the 2022 governor election results, where she was defeated by Democrat Katie Hobbs. The appeals court upheld the previous judge's decision that Lake failed to demonstrate that thousands of Phoenix-area mail ballot signatures were improperly verified.

 

Maricopa County, which is home to over 60% of voters in Arizona, was at the center of the controversy over the verification of mail ballot signatures. Lake's attorney, Bryan James Blehm, did not respond to requests for comment on whether Lake would further appeal the decision to the Arizona Supreme Court.

 

Blehm was also recently sanctioned by the State Bar of Arizona for making "unequivocally false" statements to the state Supreme Court during Lake's election challenges. His 60-day suspension will begin on July 7.

 

Despite losing multiple court challenges, Kari Lake has refused to acknowledge her loss to Katie Hobbs by more than 17,000 votes. Lake, a former television news anchor, is currently running for U.S. Senate and is considered the frontrunner for the GOP primary. She is expected to face Democratic U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego in the November election for the seat currently held by independent Kyrsten Sinema, who is not seeking re-election.

 

Lake has been one of the most vocal candidates in the GOP, echoing former President Donald Trump's false claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

 

In the Appeals Court ruling, Presiding Judge Sean Brearcliffe highlighted Lake's argument that over 8,000 ballots were "maliciously misconfigured to cause a tabulator rejection" and were not counted. However, even if all these votes had been for Lake, it would not have been sufficient to overcome the 17,000-vote margin between Lake and Hobbs.

 

The ruling further solidifies Katie Hobbs' victory in the 2022 Arizona governor race and underscores the challenges faced by candidates contesting election results in the state.

AI , programmed to find solutions for the best of the population and the planet , non - corruptible and fair , would eliminate all the non objective blabla that we need to endure from today's politicians .

That's a good start, but the courts should also start imposing sanctions for what at this point are totally frivolous lawsuits. Asking for judicial review of the election process is one thing, but repeatedly flogging a dead horse using wholly invented "facts" is another matter entirely.

It is time to grow up, accept the result as any normal person would and try again next time.

The irony on Lake's lawsuit is that all five seats on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors were Republicans. As is true in most of the other swing states' where Republicans have claimed election fraud. But somehow these lawsuits filed in swing states blame Democracts for election fraud. 

Prior to the 2022 election the Arizona State Attorney General and Governor were Republicans.

But somehow despite Republican state government control, Democrats were able to manipulate state election outcomes.

MAGA logic 101: everything is hunky dory as long as we win elections, even if it’s just by a one vote difference. But when we lose, even if it’s by a 7 million vote difference, they must have been rigged.
And then they start to make up the most insane reasons, excuses and conspiracy theories how the Dems rigged the election. Even though they keep claiming the Dems are so stupid they can’t even tie their own shoes. And all this garbage they come up with gets debunked every time, and the lawsuits they file get thrown out of court, but they keep pushing their lies nonetheless.

As long as they keep finding discrepancies in the voting rolls, especially when they number in the millions of invalid voters across the country, I don't care if it's the Dems or the Repubs that bring the cases to court. 

 

Strangely though, the Dems don't seem to want to clean up the voter rolls, or require signature verification, or voter ID, or do comprehensive audits of results, or disqualify machines that even CNN calls "insecure".  I wonder why?

 

So it's up to the Repubs...  Actually a subset of the Repubs.

The Republicans do that because they failed to prove that the 2020 election was rigged.

So they do 'as if' the election was rigged, as a lane attempt to substantiate the Big Lie. And MAGA fans buy into it.
