Fire at MP’s Home

Featured Replies

June 22, 22.31, a fire broke out at the residence of MP Kaewta (Tisana) Choonhavan in Soi Ratchakru, Bangkok. The cause and extent of the damage are still unknown. Kaewta reported that she was unable to save any of her belongings.

Firefighters and rescue teams from the Dusit Fire and Rescue Station were immediately dispatched to the scene and upon arrival, they found a large, two-story house engulfed in flames. The house belongs to Tisana Choonhavan, a Bangkok MP from the Move Forward Party and the daughter of Kraisak Choonhavan, who is the son of General Chatichai Choonhavan.

Flames were seen erupting intermittently from the house. Firefighters took about 20 minutes to control the blaze. During the incident, Tisana Choonhavan livestreamed the event on her Facebook page, "Tisana Choonhavan - Kaewta," explaining that the house where the fire occurred was her lifelong residence. She confirmed that all pets and people in the house were safely evacuated, though none of the belongings could be saved.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but initial reports suggest it might have started on the second floor, as the smell of smoke was first detected from that area. Authorities will conduct a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact cause.
