Two senior police officers remain calm despite Surachate's threats of legal action

Today, two senior police officials expressed their lack of concern regarding potential legal steps to be made against them by Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn. Last week, Surachate was cleared of all charges by an inquiry committee.

Surachate indicated today that he plans to lodge a complaint against the current deputy national police, Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet, with the National Anti-Corruption Commission. The complaint relates to Kitrat's decision to discharge Surachate from the police force.

Furthermore, Surachate is threatening to file a depreciatory suit against Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, Pol Maj-Gen Charoonkiat Pankaew. Pankaew is accused of sharing a confidential investigative report regarding an online gambling operation with the press, which allegedly tarnished Surachate's reputation.

Kitrat confirmed that people have different opinions about his decision to dismiss Surachate. He emphasized that his decision was based on careful consideration of the legal implications and evidence of the charge. Despite this, he declined to comment on the Council of State's declaration that his order was illegitimate, recommending that the termination order should be annulled.

Kitrat also expressed his unconcern about possibly being accused for his involvement in the Surachate case.

Pankaew also claimed not to be worried about the threats, stating that he was just fulfilling his official duty. He also stated his first priority is to serve the people and the Royal Thai Police, not any high-ranking officers involved in corruption.

Surachate and four of his close colleagues are facing money laundering charges related to an online gambling operation called BNK Master. The court issued arrest warrants against them, but they are currently out on bail.

Pankaew also stated that he is not worried about how his future career might be affected following Surachate's reinstatement.

Both Surachate and his supervisor, Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol, were cleared by a committee set up by the prime minister to look into their dispute over handling certain online gambling cases. Last week, Surachate was reinstated due to procedural errors in his dismissal.

This creep just won't go away. The chances of him being innocent are very low.

The RTP is the "hub" of corruption, Big Joke is no exception, its endemic (not only in the RTP, but in Thai culture).

He's innocent of all charges. My hero Hakparn. Smear smear and smear again. It's their only form of defense.
