This spring talked to the guy with Starlink dish on the beach (koh Phi Phi) 

He told me that connection is amazing and very stable 

He need instant access to the Internet due to his occupation - I think he was some hardcore trader.

WiFi at resort was unacceptable even for WhatsApp

I’d use it if I could.  It looks as though you can be up and running in a few minutes. 

Starlink is illegal in Thailand.  Only earlier this month the authorities seized 58 sets of Starlink equipment.   Basically, using any foreign satellite is prohibited.

Reads more like the equipment was sized due to intend use.

 

But yeah looking at the Starlink Map... Thailand is still pendng regulatory approval.
