A teacher in Thailand has been permanently barred from teaching by the Teachers' Council of Thailand. The banning resulted after the woman livestreamed inappropriate content of herself while teaching at a primary school in Lopburi, a central province of the country.

 

The incident gained attention when a Facebook news page, Esor News 3, shared a screenshot of the livestream from the Bigo Live application. The image displayed the teacher inappropriately revealing her underwear while teaching in class. Viewers of the livestream reacted by sending gifts to the teacher, a feature of the Bigo Live app which allows audiences to donate to streamers. These gifts can later be converted into cash.

 

 

The identity of the teacher remained undisclosed, but it was reported by Matichon that she worked at Ban Bua Chum School in Lopburi province. The teacher had been noticed in and had previously been warned about wearing revealing clothing during classroom livestreams.

 

The director of the school affirmed to Matichon that the inappropriate actions led to the termination of her training on June 28. The Teachers' Council of Thailand, after reviewing the incident, decided to issue a life-long teaching ban against the woman. The secretary of the council, Amonwan Veeradhammo, stated the actions breached Section 44 of the Teachers and Educational Personnel Council Act, which outlines unacceptable behavior and low moral standard.

Bigo Live is a hilarious app.  It's a good time filler while you're parked on the throne for 10 minutes.
