Yingluck Shinawatra, Thailand's first female prime minister, has recently signalled her potential return to the country after spending years in self-imposed exile. Celebrating her 57th birthday in London, Yingluck told her supporters in a video call that she hopes to celebrate her next birthday in Thailand.

Yingluck’s possible return gains credence following a slew of favourable court rulings over the last six months. Her niece, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, leader of the ruling Pheu Thai Party, further fanned the speculation by expressing her wish for Yingluck’s return through a heartfelt social media post

Thaksin has been busy in the background, the clan reunites and runs Thailand again.
