I'm sure it will go to the right people in the right places.

I wonder how much is siphoned off into the pockets of private entities?  Asking for a friend.  🤔

Probably a fair bit... tell your friend.

A stimulus in cancelling visa fees for Indian and Chinese tourists is a cost to the budget - this would have been an investment in the very high millions. Now visa fees cut for more nations.

Who is running this joint ?

The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), covering parts of Chon Buri, Rayong, and Chachoengsao, is set to become Thailand’s high-tech industrial hub.

Think that should actually read : is set to become Thailand’s high-tech industrial Chinese hub

With economic growth stagnating, public expenditure is seen as a crucial factor to revive subdued private spending and consumption.

Yes , construction companies and private entrepreneurs will get their share ... but most are already rich .

What about the poor who struggle to survive every day ...

An injection of 3.48 trillion baht

Should the poor not get at least a small " injection " as well ...?

But then there wouldn't be enough for the filthy rich as they're a minority, and they want to keep it this way.

The amount disbursed is just a short-term solution. Investing in better quality education is a long-term solution.

Ending the need for kids to buy school and scout uniforms would save a lot for poor parents.

Registering all working age people with the tax authorities and following up to see they filled in the tax forms would bring in more to the coffers seeing as there are tax dodgers everywhere. (I knew one shop that looked scruffy and poorly decorated but upstairs was like a museum with Ming Dynasty pots in glass cases.)

An injection of 3.48 trillion baht.

Wonder how much of this is off-budget borrowed funds, with interest owing.

Thai government are not running a surplus, last good year was 2006.

Also, transparency and accountability for a3.48 trillion Baht injection should be an interesting case study in 2025 / 2026.

Thailand has typically operated a small budget deficit every year but was urged by the IMF to increased the budget deficit to help build out infrastructure. This was possible because the governments borrowings to GDP was relatively low by comparison to other economies plus their foreign currency reserves were higher than most. The other part of the equation is that less than 5% of all government debt is in foreign currencies, the remainder is in THB hence there is no exchange rate or currency risk. The budget is linked below, if you are interested.

500 Billion for the Digital wallet, not enough? Way too much in IMO.

No one questions, as they are all guilty. An any attempt will be prosecuted for libel.
