In a shocking incident in Wiang Kaen, Chiang Rai, a 2.5-month-old baby named Airin was killed by Mr. Lee, 40, who regretfully admitted to slamming the infant on the ground in a fit of rage. The tragedy unfolded after Mr. Lee attempted to force the baby's mother, Ms. A, into having sex with him. When she refused and fled the scene, Mr. Lee, consumed by fury, took the sleeping baby and inflicted the fatal blow.

The incident has left the local community in deep mourning. Airin’s relatives performed a traditional Hmong funeral ceremony, filled with drumming and Hmong flute music. The atmosphere was steeped in sorrow as the family opted against an autopsy. The ceremonial rituals were set for 22-23 July, with the burial scheduled for Wednesday, 24 July.

Ms. A recounted the horrifying event, stating she was outside collecting diapers when Mr. Lee forcibly entered her home. He threatened her, saying he would kill the baby if she did not comply with his demands for sex. Panicked, Ms. A ran out of the house, only to hear her baby's cries silenced moments later. She rushed back inside but was too late to save her child.

"I want the police to take the harshest action against him," Ms. A stated, her voice quivering with emotion. "He was so violent with my baby, who had just started to smile and was so precious.”

During the initial police investigation, Mr. Lee confessed to his crime, explaining that he acted out of uncontrollable anger. He expressed deep regret, stating that he wished to apologize, although he acknowledged that it was far too late for any amends.

Authorities found no drugs in Mr. Lee’s system and confirmed he had no history of psychiatric treatment. He lived alone after separating from his family, who reside in the same village. Usually quiet and employed as a labourer, Mr. Lee had not raised any suspicions before this tragic event.

Fearing potential mob violence from over 200 angry relatives and villagers, police decided against conducting a public reenactment of the crime scene. Instead, the reenactment was carried out at Wiang Kaen Police Station. Mr. Lee now faces charges of premeditated murder.

A Thai man killed a two month old baby in a rage by throwing the infant to the ground after he failed to rape the child’s mother at her home in the northern province of Chiang Rai.

Officers from Wiang Kaen Police Station arrested the 40 year old alleged murderer, Lee Saeyang, at his home, which was located opposite the victim’s residence in the Wiang Kaen district of Chiang Rai province on Sunday, July 21.

His arrest followed the murder of the two month old baby girl named Linlada and the attempted rape of Linlada’s mother, 20 year old Chanikarn. Linlada bore a severe wound to her head due to Lee’s cruel attack.

Chanikan recounted the incident to the police, stating that she was drying clothes outside her home when Lee approached and asked to have sex with her. When she refused Lee tried to force her, threatening to kill her daughter if she continued to resist.

Chanikarn refused again, prompting Lee to rush inside her home, grab the baby’s legs, and throw her to the ground instantly killing the child. Lee then fled to his home, located opposite Chanikarn’s residence.

During the interrogation, Lee confessed to the brutal murder and attempted rape. Lee explained that he was alone and had feelings for Chanikarn for a long time. He decided to approach her on the day of the incident because her husband was not home.

Lee allegedly confessed that he threatened to kill the baby if Chanikarn denied him sex and reportedly admitted to carrying out his threat.

Chanikarn told the police that she tried to stop Lee but later submitted and agreed to have sex but he grabbed her daughter and killed her. Chanikarn said she could not accept what had happened. Her baby had just begun to smile and was so adorable.

Officers planned a reenactment at the scene but later cancelled it because more than 200 locals in the area were waiting for Lee there. The police were worried that Lee would be lynched.

Lee was charged with intentional murder. The punishment is the death penalty, life imprisonment, or imprisonment from 15 to 20 years according to Section 288 of the Criminal Law.

Well,  mr Lee you'll probably not have sex, for the next 20 years, unless you count sex with the other inmates. Was it worth it?

He will not get the chance to refuse BUBA & his friends in the prison system

Terrible incident with absolutely nothing to warrant this persons actions.

I often wonder in cases like this how he's parents and siblings must feel?

Hopefully he never sees the light of day again.

I hear ya there. I've railed about the childish mentality and fragile ego of the Thai male for years. Usually only met with Thai apologist BS. There's definitely something wrong here beyond the usual 'happens in every country' response.

Horrific incidents like this do happen in every country. For every sociopath like Mr. Lee, there are many thousands of men that take care of their children, also in every country. If you want to complain about cultural injustice, become an activist against honor crimes, it will be a better use of your time.

There is no punishment worthy of this scum's actions.

But it would be good to try some out.... just to check.

Even without war in this part of the world, people are going crazy... Why can they think that everything they want, can arrive at them immediately... No logic, no education...

DOnt get me wrong, this is a terrible and in and in sad situation and im NOT protecting the man.

You wonder how a man gets this far. Of course many say shut him up. You are better then?

There are parents leaving kids (babies) behind in cars on a hot summer day, to go shopping. The kids die in real agony and then the parents are sorry and crying and more. You probably will feel sorry for the parents, well im not to put them in prison. They murdered their kid.

They arent better then the Thai man. Lots of people treating their kids way down low and maybe as well with dying at the end.

For instance: how many kids did Israel killed in Gaza? How many kids did Assad kill? Or for that matter Putin or the Korean hitlers?!

In India kids are kidnapped and/or sold to be forced to work in prostitution, really from age 7 or so !.

In Yemen still children are born and slowly die, as there is a war of already 10 years going on.

Women over there will not have much to say and when man wants sex, he will, creating another child, who will die at the end. That is better then?

"My country" bombed a place, killing 70 innocent civilians (on which kids) and many injured. The prime minister got away with it.

He is responsible for that bombing. But no, he is rewarded and is now NATO boss.

Or what about a big country doing sanctions on lands and people, kids are in problems! That is ok?

You slowly kill kids (and of course others), but seems ok for the world.

Daily life, you have a job, married , 3kids. Then the CEO says go away and changes the life you lived, also for your kids. He doesnt care.

It just happens everywhere in the world. That is what we call civilization, it is what humans are.

When the mind is at ease, all could go well, but when the mind pops.? Well anything can happen.

Real sad this happened. Today it is a Thai man, tomorrow an European or whatever, it doesnt matter.

Maybe your wife decides, you cant see your kids anymore after divorce, how you handle it? Watch your brain carefully.

There are so many things going on in the world, you dont even know about it.
