Online appointment Vientiane

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

I'm having trouble booking an appointment slot for a visa at the consulate in Vientiane.

Each time I choose a date and click on it nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I think you don't understand how that system works ALL the appts show up but only the dark blue ones are "clickable" as in you can book one
looks like the 23rd of Aug is the first available appointment

Daithi85 Make sure you check the system every day. Sometimes they do "extended" appointments and add more bookings on days

I had someone looking for an appt last week and it was middle of August openings, then the next day it came up for Wed next week 😮 and they snapped it

So check that system a couple times a day to see if more bookings come open

Thanks very much.

You were correct I didn't understand how the system worked.

I've checked and savannaket has availability so I'll probably have to go there.

Thanks again.

There is an agent outside Vientiane embassy that can organize a time for you if nothing online for 2000B.

Not the best option but might help.

Ah so that is what it means, I got lucky and got an appointment but saw later it said 'Extended'. Made me worry for a bit that those appointments are for Visa extensions only but this makes more sense. Great! I am going for a DTV visa next Friday, wish me luck and I will post here if I get it. Still feels a bit like a gamble since it is quite unclear what the requirements are. I do not have a portfolio because I am a projectmanager so I am going with a Chamber of Commerce statement and a printout of my website.... Fingers crossed.

On what kind of timeframe can they get you an appointment, same day or later?

Just curious, when did you last use the "agent outside the embassy" ?
